£7 a Pint

£7 - Anyone know of a more expensive pint anywhere on Teesside? If not what’s the next dearest?

I was around that way before the QPR game. Sherlocks looked closed (think they were gearing up for a party later?) Rafferty's is good to watch the game but a little generic in its beer offer.

Twister Lip still good but didn't seem as busy as it used to be?

Pick of the bunch for me was Infant Hercules but it's excruciatingly busy for a pub that size.

We live within 10 mins walk of 5 pubs, 1 is a dive, 3 are o.k. and the other I can only describe as 'poncey'. Haven't been in the last one for I think minimum 3 years, it's always been pricey and attracts the range rover shooting types and their much younger wives. Went in with the Mrs last Friday, pint of guiness and a large glass of rioca, got £1.65 change from a £20 note, the wife said to the barman, he gave you £20, barman (or probably bar they/them in there) said yes I know, safe to say we didn't stay for another.

It's something to do and I enjoy a few drinks before the plane anyway. I'm quite happy waiting for a flight with a load of rum on tap. Holidays are for relaxing, planes are uncomfortable, airports are uncomfortable, can't do anything about the plane but you can about the airport.
I always try my best to get an early morning flight to be fair, so I’ll settle for a coffee and a Burger King if it’s a long flight haha.
