18k jobs to the area as a direct result of Brexit...

Next time I think I'll put..

Utter devastation and feather in the cap for the anti Brexit brigade as over investment is brought to teesside that may reduce the people on benefits.

I'm sure it'd be taken in far better spirit.

maybe I'm just old enough and mature enough to have seen this all before. I'll believe it when I see it, rather than when a politician tells me to believe it, cheers
Remember the 50 million pound chemical plant coming to the Boro, then there was one coming to Seal Sands, then it turned out there was only one 50 million quid not too. Then nothing ever materialised. I’m old enough to remember the TDC.

I knew from the outset people would have been against this being positive news and that it would have happened anyway etc etc.

Why can't people accept that good things come on the back decisions that they didn't want or like.

Because history says otherwise?

Would you max out your credit cards after buying a lottery ticket just because of optimism?

It’s already been said we’d become a centre for wind turbines, so makes sense it’s a turbine plant. I’ve been to the one in Hull and I can’t see how you would get to 18,000, not even if you were counting arms and legs.

What a ridiculous comparison... No one is asking you to invest your own money here are they?

It's a comparison of misplaced optimism.

You are deriding those who ask questions of an article with no details and is full of soundbites for apparently showing a lack of optimism.

I'll wait until there's an official announcement.

If the company announced it tomorrow many on here would continue to have a problem with it.

I think, given your like of thought, you’re getting confused.
No one is complaining about jobs coming to Teesside. Everyone is complaining about you parroting the potential mistruth of a politician. Also you trying to falsely attribute it to Brexit. Those are the problems we have. I’m not the first to explain this to you but I imagine given your slow stubbornness I won’t be the last

I attributed it based on information in the article.

You don't want to believe it to be positive good news.

Well I do believe it to be positive good news.

In a time when everything is negative... Try to give being positive a go.
