I was amazed how good we looked...probably the best half of football this season that I have seen
It was exciting attacking passionate flowing football good tackles keeper looked assured.
I have never seen a side capitulate so quickly In boro colours..
So wtf happened
What was said at half time...is that even relevant ..why couldn't those 11 players just continue to play great football
Iam mystified and gutted over the result.
Their big man up front was pretty awesome by the way ...liked him a lot.
PS so pleased for young josh....he's going places he reminds me a bit of Sutton from rhe Sutton shearer combo or maybe a bit of a paul Wilkinson.
So pleased for you mate

You're right about the first half .. but .. we didn't do anything with it .. think it was one shot on target? .. a decent attacking team would have got 2 or 3 goals ..

Great post, some of us can see the makings of a side with pace and movement upfront with young energetic players who are only going to improve.
Unfortunately injuries and fatigue caught up with us last night and throw in a couple of individual mistakes and it wasn't to be. A great full debut from Coburn.

Keep the faith, and don't listen to the Doom and Gloom merchants on here. There's plenty of them 👍😂

At half-time the coaches and players would have been really pleased. 1 - 0 up and keeping Luton completely out of the game. The message would have been expect them to be very direct and full of energy for 15 minutes, withstand that then finish the game. Boro capitulated instead with 3 dreadful defensive routines. They will train for the scenarios where the first two goals came from, which makes it even worse. The third was just a dreadful individual mistake that can't be mitigated in training.

I don't think the first half was "fantastic" (other than if compared to the second half) it was good and we looked good apart from where it mattered in creating and converting chances. You couldn't look at Sporar and Coburn and say they were guilty of missing multiple chances.

Second half, we came out cold and they were firing on all cylinders. As said above you weather that for fifteen twenty minutes and you can probably coast home. First goal was a marking **** up, second a failure to clear the ball then again a striker left unmarked. Third... And of course all within five minutes. After that Luton were comfortable. Yes, there were a couple of homer decisions from the officials but we got what we deserved. Nowt.

I think we were in control in that 1st half up until the last 10 minutes or so but then you could see Luton coming more into it.

it’s fine margins in football.

the same happened at Cardiff - they threw everything at us for the first 15 mins of the second half… but we rode our luck and weathered the storm, and won comfortably in the end.

What a goal. Tav to crooks to Sporar one touch incisive football. Sporar looks up, crosses and coburn at full stretch, yay

The amount of times we play the ball behind someone that is running really infuriates me. That first goal shows how simple football can be when the right pass is executed well
When was pass it around we look good with the ball, when we lose the ball we seem to look like a disorganised rabble!

Exactly. It would be difficult for us to be any further from a typical Warnock side. Having Warnock in charge is acceptable if you are grinding out 1-0 wins like Cardiff did. However what we have is a team capable of playing football that is being held back from doing so by a manager who wants to play a style of football that he doesn't have the players for. How can he still be saying our team isn't nasty enough when he has been in charge for over 18mths. We need an attack minded manager who is going to let the likes of Tav, Jones, Sporar and Payero play football.

I think this OP makes a good point, in that the majority of people judge on the result, rather than the performance.

If that's the case, do people (honestly) take a different view on NW?
