7 home games left what's the point in attending

Well I can look at it in a positive light, from early March there's 6 weeks in a row I'm busy Saturday afternoons so every cloud has it's silver lining

Attendances definitely going to take a hit now, can't see many walk ups from Boro fans can you and we play a few teams with nothing to play for so going to be quite a few games with end-of-season-itis feeling to them.

Plymouth, average 2000 away from home but we're miles away. They just took 1200 to Sunderland
Norwich, they won't bring many as it's on sky but they took 1000 to Sunderland
Blackburn's away support is one of the lowest in the league, maybe 800?
Sheff Wed, probably bring a few, 2k
Swansea, they won't bring many. They got 1100 for Sunderland and are struggling to shift them
Leeds, sell out whatever we give them
Watford, last game of the season so probably bring a few

I think 23.5k is probably the floor to official attendance this season due to ST sales.
That doesn't mean they'll all be in the stadium like.

It's next season attendances that will take a big hit

We really do have a whiny set of entitled fans that want instant gratifications and success don't we.

If they're your team and you give a crap, then go watch them, there is no guarantee of success, no guarantee of promotion, no guarantee we will be any good.....but that's really what supporting is about, through thick and very f$*n thin times.

I’ll do what I usually do. Go out early. Sample a few beers around Baker / Bedford or The Dovecot.

Catch up with a few mates and family.

Watch the match. Put up with some of the eejits around me who have no clue about football 😉

Pop to the pub afterwards. Have a few commiserating or celebratory pints and get home to watch some crap tv or the highlights (depending on the result earlier in the day).

Wake up Sunday and piece together any chards of hope still left in my soul 😂

Supporting Boro has brought me a hell of a lot frustration and disappointment in my life time so far, but the good times make it all worth it. The good times tend not to come round as often as the bad ones though, and I’m still here.

I’ve seen many worse sides than this current one in the last 15 years and managed to suck it up.

It’s all a personal choice though. The last games will shape the course of transfer window for next season. Carrick must know those he wants to keep and replace and I’ll be interested to see how other players develop (if they do at all). If we have any chance of keeping Hackney or McGree, we must be a bit more ambitious in the Summer Window.
