I hadn't realised that either. I guess it makes it worse.I just realised it's referring to gamblers as "players" rather than the player wearing the shirt.

I sent an email to the club a while ago and asked whether the club would consider enlisting the help of students at Teesside University to design potential shirts, which would then be voted on by season ticket holders.
This keeps a connection to the area, it gives students invaluable experience and the fans get a say too.
It also completely ignores the company that's paid for the "privilege" of manufacturing our shirts and also ignores their ability to actually make the designs too.
No, the manufacturer who has paid to make our kits. Or are you suggesting the students knock up a few thousand kits too ?What, the students ability to make the designs?
I’m pretty sure they could have cooked up better than that. They also have the capability of making the shirts.
Designed in Middlesbrough, made in Middlesbrough, voted for by Season Ticket holders.
How is this a bad idea?
What was their response to your email.
66/1 you're still waiting ?

I assume the students are going to pay for the privilege of making them too, to replace the money we'd lose from Errea ?
we need to sign the new Alan ComfortThat collar - Perfect for would be vicars
Yes, why not? There are textile companies in Middlesbrough that would have the capability of doing it. So why not? Everything hasn’t been done before until it’s been done.
And that’s what this is all about, money. There’s no connection to the area, it’s just a manufactured shirt that they’ve used Ravanelli to wheel out in the hope it’ll temper just how disappointing it is.
Rav looks like he could still do a job for us now. Carrying no weight at all.
Tbh I actually thought he looked I’ll in that video, lost loads of weight imoRav looks like he could still do a job for us now. Carrying no weight at all.

We used to, in the Skill era (87-92?). That was our own brand. So you're effectively saying the club should focus on manufacturing kits and all the challenges that go with it (legal, logistics, commercial etc)

He does a lot of cycling with ex professional cyclist Mario Cippolini, which gives me the excuse to post some real sports kit shockers.
The best of the Lion King: Mario Cipollini's greatest hits - CyclingTips
There aren’t many professional cyclists that grab the headlines in the way that Mario Cipollini did, and still continues to do more than a decade after retiring (for the first time). Last month, the 48-year-old Italian, known as ‘The Lion King’ caused a stir by posting a photo of himself sat...cyclingtips.com
