Aaron Mooy on a free?

Probably just waiting for Spence. Not for the money but because of we can't shift him then we definitely don't need Smith. I'd expect he'll be first to sign once Spence is confirmed.

I doubt there’s anything in Nyambe or he would be the one training with the club, Nyambe is an orthodox old school right back that gets a nose bleed when he crosses the half way line, I highly doubt we were ever interested and it’s likely it was just his agent trying to flush out offers.

Smith much more suited to wing back and gets assists,

Gibbo may not want to sanction an expensive deal with big wages for an under contract nearly 33 year old striker, a free transfer 30 year old wing back or central midfielder is a completely different proposition.
That being the case, and it may well be, why have we not signed Smith up yet then?

Because we don't need three right wing backs on the books. Once Spence departure is confirmed im sure Smith will be signed to fill his place in the squad. While it might seem inevitable that Spence was leaving it would have weakened our negotiating position even further if Spurs saw that we had already signed his replacement. We couldn't then really use the bluff of walking away from the deal.

I see how you think. Your avatar says it all, Willow🤪

Could be the case I guess. I just can't help but feel like there is something in this thing about signing 30+ year olds, as we keep getting linked to them but don't actually sign any

Really feller if there was genuinely something in it then we wouldn’t be linked with any as we wouldn’t be interested in any 🤣🤦‍♂️

No offence Willow. I admire your avatar and visualize it when I‘m reading your insightful words😘
OK, I'm sure you think your very clever here, but I've no idea who you are, nor care. Disagree all you want with what I say but your just acting like a bell end for no reason. Blocked.

FFS I was agreeing with you and trying to compliment you!!! Are you for real?

Or, as I've said previously, there is clearly a divide in the club at the moment. With the management team wanting to go for experience, but hierarchy in the club not wanting to sanction a deal for anybody over 30 'feller' ;)

Why is their clearly a divide?

Not wanting to possibly pay a fee but certainly pay huge wages for a crocked almost 33 year old striker does not make a divide over senior players and does not mean we have a strategy of not signing senior players.

We offered Howson a new deal and we are likely to sign smith who is 30, why do fans read rubbish in a click bait rag and take it as gospel?

So far every single player that we have been linked with over the age of 30 we have not signed. There has been more than just Gayle linked, which I think is the article you're inferring, however it sounds like you have believed quite a bit in that article for someone who appears to be calling me out for believing things I read in an article

It's just my opinion anyway, for what it's worth, as I've said, I could (and hope I am in this case) be wrong.

We've also not signed all but 3 players under 30 we've been linked with, which runs to something in the region of 250 players, or at least that's what it feels like.

May be something in it, may not be - don't feel anyone can be sure one way or another.
