Any season ticket holders thinking of wrapping in yet

That team would destroy this team

Baird and Bernie would destroy this defence
I suspect they almost certainly wouldn’t. All directly measurable sports have got unarguably better since the 80s* and it is extremely unlikely that English football hasn’t. Far more likely that second tier relegation fodder now will be streets ahead of second tier relegation fodder from thirty years ago.

* except those involving East German women back in the day perhaps but we know why that is.

I'm sure The back 4 including pears, mogga, parky and cooper could handle silvera and Rogers.

Hammy was finished by then but at his peak would walk in to this midfield.
Baird was tough as nails and skilful.

Bernie was just a natural.

I think if they had all been born around the Milennium and given modern training and associated health and fitness values they could have been good players in this era. Good players should be good in any area. Drop them from a Time Machine they’d be dead by half time.

You know the number 40 tennis player from 1988 would lose in straight sets to the number 40 today. You can calculate that the number 40 10000m runner would be just about lapped by the number 40 today. Football wouldn’t be different.

So by your logic clough mannion madden and Hardwick wouldn't be as good as josh coburn or Riley mcgree

I think what hes saying in that condition they would struggle, but with modern day training, medical care, diet , better pitches , etc etc they would, vthe cream always rises, but in their playing days they were probably less fit for example

I didn't go yesterday and might not for the rest of the season, I won't be renewing, just a mixture of not enjoying and a realisation that the club is ran by Tory rats that have no respect for the fan base.

Also I'm not interested in what anyone on here thinks, enjoy next season, ya mugs! 👍

Yesterday was the deciding factor for me, not renewing for next season. In all honesty I just haven't enjoyed going this season as the season has gone on I've found myself spending more and more time in the concourse drinking rather than in the stand

Yesterday, MC and the team should of put on a show and said this is why you need to renew next season. We are all a team, competitive and ready to roll up our sleeves to try and get a playoff place. I know we have the most amount of injuries but the performance Yesterday was diabolical. Why do we always try to play when we are 1 or 2 nil down. Play your best team in the correct positions from the start. Forss is the only fit striker we have. Mcgree is our most creative player and should not be playing as a false 9.
We need to be difficult to beat at home and start with 3 CBs and snatch a 1 nil win. Wins breed confidence and at home we have none.

Come on MC stop being stubborn and sort this mess out

I will renew as I have the money set aside in my account chest, but it will defo be a last minute thing, I'd rather have the money gaining the interest in my bank.

I can't bring myself to renew right now, I'm still really angry at the club and it feels like rewarding them for treating us like ****.

Probably going to be a deadline day renewal at this rate.
Two of us seriously considering not renewing , despite having a season ticket since the stadium opened.
I don't have the faith that the recruitment team know what they are doing .
Add to that , I would be renewing on the hope that the Rogers money and Crooks money - £15m - will be invested in better players?
I have huge doubts it will and am not looking forward to watching the likes of Ayling, Barlaser , Hoppe , Gilbert , Glover , Silvera going through the motions.
Add to that, Hackney and Mcgree will probably be sold.
And they want me to pay more for the experience ?
After that shambles yesterday , the talk leaving the ground was of people not renewing, the club need to act fast or they will lose thousands of fans who will vote with their feet.
Over to you MFC and Steve Gibson .

I think going match to match will suit my lifestyle better these days having two young kids under 4.

Over the past few years I have found going to the match is often an inconvenience and not something I particularly look forward too, apart from that great spell last season of course.

And it’s not like that’s it. You can easily get tickets for matches when you wanna go.

I think it would be better value for money to pick and choose for me, even at those shocking walk up prices. I’d save a few hundred and go when I wanted, missing a lot of games that aren’t convenient or interest has waned.

I've renewed straight away for me and my lad, my £20 'that'll make all the difference' refund popped up on my Monzo App as i walked into the ground yesterday.

If we're shītė, we're shītė, but I'm not at the giving up point yet. Hopefully the easier parking and quieter roads will make up for it next season 🙃 .

As I said we’ve already renewed, but that’s partly for the people we give the tickets to when we are away. If they stop wanting the freebies, might be a different matter season after next.
Not full of optimism at the moment. The Boro have been in much worse situations and I’ve still enjoyed it, but my overriding emotion yesterday was boredom.
