Seeing Grimsby getting that soft penalty at Southampton last night got me thinking. Are we the most unfashionable team in England,Paddy nearly gets his head knocked off, decision nothing given.Dael nearly loses an eye,no punishment, and the one that still narks me Dean Ashton breaks Schwarzers cheekbone and Harewood tries to remove Southgate head with his elbow nothing given.

It's a strange theory in truth, every club gets harsh decisions against them at times. We get plenty in our favour too. Did the QPR defender even touch McGree for the penalty last home game? The Schwarzer one is coming up 17 years ago. If you're going back that far for examples i'd suggest you're looking for something that isn't there.

Coupled with the question does "unfashionable" even equate to "unlucky" ?

We will see how unfashionable we are if we get promoted - lets see if all the southern papers fawn over us the way they did over Bournemouth and Leeds when they got promoted. The coverage of both was embarrassing - plucky little Bournemouth with their billionaire Russian owner and Bielsa being the son of god

My favourite in our favour has to be Danny Tiatto's solo effort being ruled out for offside 😂

God knows what the offside rule was at that time, but there was a player stood in an offside position on edge of the 6 yard box.

Think it was you had to be "Interfering with play" so that'll have been the refs defence.

Pretty sure the pundits at the time all thought it was a ridiculous decision. I remember in the ground no-one could work out what it had been ruled out for!
