Was at the home game but couldn't make the away game. My mother came out of hospital terminal cancer that morning, so that was way more important, lots of tears along the way.
The day I remember it very well, listening to the radio as the final minutes ticked down, I kept turning it on and off in our bedroom. I ended up doing headstands against the wardrobe to stop the the nerves and the wife walked in and thought I`d flipped.
Joyous tears as Ali said on Radio Cleveland "Pallister to Slaven who can end it all here" What a moment.
There was radio silence for hell of a while due to the carry on, they put some stupid cricket on while we waited for interviews.
Brought a bit of sunshine on what was a very tough and dark time.
