Bbc - a disgrace

Do you not think that might have been a response to the backlash that they've had on social media? Damage limitation? The BBC seriously misjudged their approach to this and now they're bricking it and trying to pretend to be impartial again. My hatred of the BBC runs deep, and it is personal to a certain extent. I'll admit to that.
Yes they probably logged onto fmttm this morning and thought quick let’s balance the story otherwise bumface and his chums are gonna be seething. Of course it’s bloody not - it’s just because they are reporting on a story and as such they will represent both sides.

The premise of this thread is that the bbc is isomehow pushing an agenda that Raab isnt a bully and the bbc are blaming the civil service. The fact that said same bbc have written an article with a witness from the civil servic corroborating that Raab is a bully disproves the hypothesises of the OP.
What part of, "He's not a member of the civil service," don't you understand?

Have you ever worked in journalism? I have, and it's sh*t. Journalists in this country aren't allowed to be fair and balanced. You have to tell the story that they want you to tell. If you tell the truth about something they hack it to pieces and then you have your name at the bottom of an article that you didn't even write,

Except he's not a civil servant. Nice try, though.
That's what I was trying to draw attention to, but he used Cooper's MO of just refusing to see that, and talking about something else instead. He'll be telling us that he's 'just asking questions' next and then crying about everyone picking on him.

The Tories are trying to lay the blame of their monumental failures on the Civil Service. Nothing is their fault, militant, lefty and incompetent Civil Servant's are hold back the government.

This and their culture wars are what they'll be going full throttle with into the next election.

Not sure what the bbc have done wrong here. They interviewed raab, not sure there is anything wrong in that. The comparison with convicted criminals isn't really a realistic one for several reasons, the main one being, no one would be that interested. I suspect people are interested in what raab has to say.

The headline for the story was a bit crap.

I can see that he’s an ex civil servant - when you say I talked about something else you mean I pointed out that the ex civil servant was confirming Raab was a bully which I’ll say again kinda of disproves the accusations being made in the thread that the bbc are impartial. It’s not really something else is it it’s the actual topic of the thread.

Thankfully someone else who gets it!

So did
What part of, "He's not a member of the civil service," don't you understand?
What part of “he’s confirming in a bbc news story that raab is a bully” are you not getting?

I'm bored with you now. I'm sure that everyone else on this thread is bored with you too. Say hello to Cooper for me, the next time you see him.

They don’t, and you don’t. The 2 interviews are not the same and don’t offer balance. Raab had been found guilty, which is most workplaces would mean you would have to leave, at best given a final written warning

He’s then allowed to air and show utter contempt to his victims

Why because I dare to disagree and debate - I’ve shown you evidence that the bbc are covering more than one angle of the story yet you choose to deflect and suddenly get bored.

If you had worked in journalism, you would be able to see that you're the one doing the deflecting on this thread. It isn't me. You're as bad as The Daily Mail. Their take on it today was something along the lines of Raab found guilty of bullying staff, but Gordon Brown was an @rsehole too, so that makes it all better. Gutter Journalism. The press in this country is a disgrace.

We are talking about the bbc - they have reported raab as a bully as confirmed by an ex colleague. They haven’t contested that.

Again talk of the daily mail is just deflection and maybe you pursuing your own agenda. This post is talking about how much of a disgrace the bbc are.

No. The point was how the BBC framed the story and gave him an interview and put a really misleading headline on their site. You clearly don't know how these things work. I'm done with you.

I get what people are saying about impartiality. I just don't agree. It's rather surprising to me that people feel so strongly about this BBC interview there are better examples of impartiality rules being broken than the BBC presenting an interview that the public are interested in.

You wrote:

This is simply incorrect. He is not "a witness from the civil servic (sic)"

You also said that they had "dug one up" - meaning they had dug up a civil servant. This again, was incorrect.

You eventually came around to the truth in post # 69, when you admitted that:

I can see that he’s an ex civil servant

That was the first time you correctly identified him.
