Bbc - a disgrace

I don’t think anyone is suggesting it isn’t news.
It is and should be reported as such.
Also, it ought to be quite a simple report

’The Deputy PM Dominic Raab’ has resigned following an investigation which found him to be a bully’

To allow him the opportunity to rubbish the process, tell the world he’s the victim and point the finger at the civil servants doesn’t feel appropriate at all to me.
They can get both sides of the story I’m sure there will be a civil servant along soon to explain why he is a bully.

a civil servant doesnt need to - the government under took to put an investigation in place and it found raab to be guilty of said charges, the allegations were proved to be true..

the bully resigned, rather than take the sack - he is still a proven bully.

he had his right to reply within the characteristics of the investigation - it is wrong (in my humble opinion) to allow him to broadcast further on the national news channel - ordinary workers accused and found proven to be bullies at work are not afforded that opportunity, why should the bully raab get further preferential treatment.

No, there won't be any TV interviews with any of the Civil Servants as they will be saying bye-bye to their careers. Anonymity was a key element of the report.

So, it's Raab the bully giving his side of the story with no counter interview. He knows that. The Tory PR machine know that. And the BBC know that.

Hang on, the Tory PR machine is the BBC.......🤔

He gets full media coverage to "clear" himself, the civil servants quietly get back to work trying to run the country to the best of their abilities.

Politics, planning and implementation.
Some of the things politicians wish to do are so mad they reach the third part of this process only to find that it would be impossible to implement them. Then the toys start rapidly leaving the pram.

The civil servants are under employment contracts that will prohibit them from talking to the press without written government consent

It’s a nothing story he’s a bully he resigned - there is no spin - nothing disingenuous just seems people are reading a little bit too much into a news headline.

People have already pointed out that that's not possible, due to the Civil Service code and their terms of employment.

Retired now, though told Raab whilst still in the Civil Service to reign it in.

Current CS's would be sacked for speaking out..

**Are you Raab in disguise 😂
I'm Nobby and Boro Legend and Dennis Wick and his dog Polly in disguise. I thought that everyone on here already knew that.

"A RETIRED senior civil servant" FFS. Are you Cooper in disguise?
The premise of this thread is that the bbc is isomehow pushing an agenda that Raab isnt a bully and the bbc are blaming the civil service. The fact that said same bbc have written an article with a witness from the civil servic corroborating that Raab is a bully disproves the hypothesises of the OP.

Do you not think that might have been a response to the backlash that they've had on social media? Damage limitation? The BBC seriously misjudged their approach to this and now they're bricking it and trying to pretend to be impartial again. My hatred of the BBC runs deep, and it is personal to a certain extent. I'll admit to that.
