Bellingham sending off

That's a very good point, if you want to "go unnoticed" but.... Can you blow the whistle when the balls out of play? I don't know.
I'm sure I've seen a ref blow when a team won a corner before and it was out of play. They were fannying on and the ref just thought sod it and blew. They've blown when it's gone out of play for a throw loads of times I'm sure. Mind you on the other hand don't they usually wait until the keeper kicks the ball before blowing when it's a goal kick? In summary I don't know either.

Generally speaking the ref will wait until an attacking move is finished before blowing, but what if it's constant pressure?

Watch the whole video. Ball goes out of box ref blows whistle and turns away. You can clearly hear it even above the crowd noise. Madrid players get angry but right near the end of the clip Bellingham loses it. Rightly gets a red card

You shouldn't be doing that to the ref. There should be a points deduction for the behaviour of the players after the final whistle, never mind a red card.

That's the video and commentary I watched yesterday morning. God knows what Stampy's Dog watched to claim the whistle came well after the ball was crossed.

The referee had every right to blow when he did. The added time was over.

The way Jude reacted wasn't great and he can have no complaints of the red card.

The only reason this is talked about as much, is because it's Real Madrid.

They are one of the most corrupt clubs in world football and whenever something goes against them (in this case, the correct outcome), then they create a storm.

A truly horrible club.

It must be a new rule where the referee has to play on until the outcome of the final shot is complete rather than a calculated period of time
