Wasn’t long ago he was being slated on here and a few had to keep pointing out that you don’t win POTY at several clubs without being a very good player 👍
 
Good solid defender at this level and we can't forget he's came back from a very serious injury. Reminds me a bit of David Wheater. Will throw his body in front of anything and with Howson's reading of the game and class on the ball they actually look a decent partnership. Howson moves back to midfield with Hackney when everyone is fully fit though, replacing Barlaser and O'Brien. Rav is our best centre half so walks back into the team but happy to have Clarke next to him. Both big units as well which helps, especially in this league.
 
Number one centre back at the club now. I suspect McNair will move on leaving VDB, Lenihan and Fry to battle out for the remaining spot.

I think you need a player like him in the champo. A big 'unit' who can defend. I am probably doing him a bit of an injustice. He's no dud on the ball.

We are maybe now seeing the best of him. It's hardly surprising after over a year out. He's actually been thrown back in due to injuries. I doubt it's ideal starting every week after nearly 18 months out.

I think he's entering his final year? So with Paddy leaving you'd say he's worth a contract chat.

Just remember he won the player of the season at his last 3 club's prior to joining us. That's actually a pretty amazing stat 👍

Agree every team needs a big proper defender at CH, and potentially someone a bit agricultural in front to break up opposition attacks at source. Get the second part in the summer alongside Hackney and we’ll have a good season
 
Good player and love his commitment but I think his serious lack of pace will be exposed against better opposition in the coming games.
 
I think he is a great player for us. Strong , committed and can play a bit. It's great having so many natural left footed players in the team , We only lack a pacy left sided attacker at the moment, get one, and we will have a very well balanced team next year.
