Booing National Anthem ( South Stand)

The beauty of all seater stadia and fans demanding rules be introduced to restrict the rights of other fans
In the last 30 years we’ve learnt quite a lot more about smoking. I’ve no issue with people doing it of course, where it’s permitted, but that usually isn’t around young children (areas that are specifically designed for them).

So tell him to behave and remind him of the rules or tell a steward to take it off him.

Or alternatively try and intimidate a stranger in front of your kids because that’s proper mint parenting.

God knows what this has to do with the thread like. Respect? Law and order?
Intimidating? Hardly. "Oi, put that away" was met with laughter "Oww, put it away you're blowing smoke in my kids face put it away or ill take it off ya" met with "Soz mate" the lad was hardly quaking in his boots i think he just seen the kids and realised he was being a knob. If it stops him puffing away at future games then yes i think i did my job as a parent and i'm a happy man. One of my kids has asthma and sitting through clouds of smoke trying to watch the match is disgusting, but obviously you've taken the stance to support vaping and anyone challenging people who vape and thats fine, speaks alot about you. FYI no stewards anywhere near the back of the North so am i to head downstairs, missing the game, trying to find a steward, to head back up missing god knows how much of a match i paid to see - I didnt pay money to police idiots - all to avoid hurting the feelings of someone sat puffing away breaking the stadium rules?

To bring it back on topic, the same lad boo'd and stuck his fingers up throughout the entire national anthem

I still don’t see why you had to mention threatening to take his vape off him? Seems a random addition of you just tryna sound hard.

What’s the connection between it and this thread?

People who boo the national anthem are bad vapers?

People who sing the national anthem aren’t? Can enforce the rules? Have respect?

Weird.

I’m glad he stopped vaping though. Maybe mentioning the presence of children would’ve been better than telling him you’ll remove his property from his person would be better though. Less chance of escalation.

I haven't read through all of the 80 odd comments.. but yes, they are immature little *******. Think they're clever and hard.

Saw their appalling behaviour at Sunderland away this year, trouble causing little *****.

Have you seen the photo they've uploaded, giving Chuba an award? They've blurred out all of their faces.

They'll get a smack one day somewhere the way they go on.
Go talk to the lads whilst they`re having a drink in the family zone before the match.
Chip on your shoulder.
Ranting uninformed aggressive rubbish.

Moving to where you feel more comfortable doing whatever you do. You're restricted by being allotted a seat. You can't move away from the people in close proximity if you're not happy and neither can they.
Hardly a fundamental "right" is it?

And really only applicable when the stadium is full. Similar rules and restrictions are enforced in all public places where of necessity there are people in close proximity, restaurants, cinemas, trains, buses, etc.

Also, if I have bought a ticket with a good view (for example in line with the centre) why should I move because some d*ck can't put his toy town cigarette away for two hours?

I've got a chip on my shoulder? What makes you think that and what is uninformed about what I said?

I've seen close hand time and time again them show themselves up with terrible, antagonising behaviour on the road. They spoil people's away match experience.

Bunch of little nerds that think they're hard and some sort of Ultra hooligan group with balaclavas covering their faces.

I’ve seen it a fair few times this season.

With an attitude like that , if the sun shone out their back sides it wouldnt be good enough.
Whatever.

It doesn't though, does it. Wouldn't have a negative view of them if they weren't absolute selfish *****.

I don't think the Twelfth Man are like that, the official supporters group.. they don't carry on the way they do, embarrassing the club on a weekly basis.

Take a look at their Twitter and scroll through the comments.. I'm not the only one.

I chose to sit in the Family Zone to do exactly that with the bairns, didn't think it would be inhabited by older blokes smoking and not giving a phuck. I wouldn't go and sit in the South Stand and expect to hear no swearing. In fact I'd probably expect to see people smoking/vaping there even if it is against the rules.

There are of course places where you are allowed to smoke too. Its not like this fella can't go and use those.

Sorry R00f but Carrickball is right in what he’s saying it isn’t always the case but at a fair few games this season they have been nothing short of embarrassing especially at the stadium of light. I support them and welcome the atmosphere they bring but they need to drop the childish nonsense.

Take a look at their charity work.
Take a look at the events they organise to support local groups.
Take a look at the collections they have to provide colour and atmosphere at games.
Look at their delegate who partakes in every MFC Official Supporters Group Meetings.
I dont need to scroll through twitter - I use my own ears, eyes and experience.
If you want to understand and appreciate the part they play in speaking up for fans, I suggest you go to MFC Supporters Group page and you will find minutes of the meetings.
Lets get rid of the emotional pub-barrister attitude and look at the facts.

I'm basing my opinion on what I see with my eyes and experience....

Like a group of 30 of them, balaclava'd up, stood in walkways and stairwells at a game... then screaming in stewards faces and pushing them when being told to get in their own seats.

Two of them were thrown out of the SoL which then caused a huge stampede as the full group all rushed towards the steward who threw them out, barging and shoving everyone out of their way. Bloke next to me on crutches pushed to the floor.

They don't represent me at all as a fan carrying on like that.

Q: What was the outcome of your contact with the club concerning your allegations at the Sunderland game?

I did raise it with the club (Yvonne Ferguson). No response, as usual.
