Booing the Ramadan drinks break

I think we can include this thread with booing taking the knee, to the people who do it - We know what you are!
the small booing tonight was from the racist who boo taking the knee.. at least we know the rest of them are just fcuking idiots.

Disgraceful really.. feel a bit let down by some of our fans tbh.

But again it highlights the need for education and being visible with anti racist messages/initiatives

I found the booing tonight for the drinks break completely disgusting, the club have failed to act over fans booing the taking of the knee and now the knuckle draggers feel emboldened because of this.

The club need to act now.

It reflects incredibly poorly on the club and the area that this is accepted.
These people aren’t fans they are just racist scum, you’re totally right in your post mate. We all need to start acting as well and reporting it to the relevant authorities.

Some absolute tripe spoken in the stands tonight and also on this thread too, we have a lot of racist Neanderthals in our fan base and it’s so disappointing and depressing. I hope these ‘people’ do not breed and pass down their behaviour and morales to any children.
I havent seen anyone being racist on this thread. No one is denying their right to fast or have their religious beliefs, I respect anyones right to believe in whatever they want. But a time out to accommodate that belief doesn't sit right with me. Religion is a personal thing, keep it personal.

I was in the west stand lower and didn’t hear any booing? A few quizzical looks as people didn’t realise what was going on and thought we’d gone American with a time out.
I was in west stand lower and noticed a short period of quiet booing.. ie from a small number of fans in the south stand

I never said anyone was being racist on this thread, the racism came from the stands. There has been a fair amount of tripe posted on this thread, I’d tag it but it’s very easy to find. They are fasting for their beliefs what issue does a water break cause? Everyone has a right to believe in what they want and they deserve any support afforded to them. I’m disappointed by a few posters on this thread tonight.

I think 2 more home games during Ramadam. Maybe the club can explain what will happen during these games?

Unfortunately, there were a couple behind me in the North Stand who booed at the time of the break.

At one point I looked behind me and one of the girls who sit behind said to our group, that she was disgusted at some of the racist bile coming from the row behind her. She seemed quite distressed.

One particular lad is constantly on an anger trip, I would imagine the effing C phrase is used 100+ times a game. I’m by far bothered about foul language, but the lad is a cretin. Nothing positive ever comes out of his gob.

At the Preston game he called Diaby a “black C” as he walked past our block after being sent off.

It’s got to the point now where I feel the only way forward is to report it. It’s absolutely not on.

This simply has to be reported, we can’t allow in our stadium, in our pubs and on our football forums. We must report it.

Totally agree mate. I didn’t know whether to email the club (he’s 2 rows behind me) so assume he’s a similar seat number but don’t know the exact one.

2 home games in a row now. I didn’t hear anything beyond the booing tonight but the girl behind me was pretty upset at some of the stuff they were saying amongst themselves.

Absolute scumbags.

Two players actually broke their fast just before kick-off, which coincidentally was just a couple of minutes after sundown tonight. They were handed bananas and drinks by the Burnley staff between the line up and kick off.

Many people may have confused it with the general time wasting employed this evening, but that can't excuse some of the comments overheard by people on this thread.

Maybe have a look at the next home game and then email the club, they will take it very seriously as I know Cleveland police do as well.

It is a concession as they’ve made a personal choice to follow that religion and to fast
So Catholics fast and abstain from meat on Good Friday, so why is it called specifically a Ramadan break and as others have said, if they are not fit to play, then why not maybe drop to the bench to reduce the exertion?
