Book your booster

I can envisage the take up for this one dropping off markedly. A reasonable percentage of the people I work alongside declined the booster. These are people who dutifully took the initial doses and are reasonably well-educated and erudite adults. It seems unlikely that doubly vaccinated people will have their freedoms impinged upon if they decline the booster. I think this will have a sizeable impact.

I read a week ago that people booking their boosters were told they weren't eigible yet. It hasn't been a successful rollout so far. Hopefully it improves.

If people have already had 2 jabs why wouldn’t you have the booster.
Had my booster last week
Covid fatigue. Clearly it is anecdotal evidence but myself and the majority of my colleagues are aged between 25 and 45. There has been a significant drop in numbers taking the third dose.

My wife and son both had their boosters recently, walk in centre 5 min walk from our house. No issues, done exactly 6 months after 2nd dose, was busy but very efficient. Will be able to get mine in about a month

Does anyone else think feels like the govt have no idea how to roll this out a o have just made it a free for all.
tbh Zorro I think the Booster roll out is the opposite of a free for all. I'm less than 2 weeks from the booster recommended date and I cant book anything anywhere.

As far as I am aware there is no issue with stocks of Pfizer so why the system is not capable of letting people get in line is beyond me.

The more I see and read about the vaccination programme in this country (am including JCVI and Govt comms in this) the more I think the initial vaccine roll out was a fluke and that we are now back to the incompetent mean that has been the story of Govt response to the pandemic since the start.

But why risk it, in not having 3rd jab if you have already had 2, that's what I can't understand
I agree with you. I have had the booster. Perhaps younger people’s reasons for taking the initial jab were more out of concern for others above fears for their own well-being. Research is emerging that transmission levels are unaffected by vaccine status or at least the reduction is minimal.

Covid fatigue? Will take another upturn in infection, hospitalisations to spark people out of this lethargy?. Hope it doesn’t come to that. Getting a booster takes a few minutes. Dont just do it for yourself, do it for you family and friends.
