Book your booster

tbh Zorro I think the Booster roll out is the opposite of a free for all. I'm less than 2 weeks from the booster recommended date and I cant book anything anywhere.
Indeed. And I'm getting a bit pist off with them saying take up is poor. My 6 months is up this week and I can't wait, but can't book anything anywhere yet. Why would anyone who's already had both doses not want a booster? It doesn't make sense.

Friends of mine got their initial jabs In Qatar, came home and we’re told they don’t count in the UK, so had UK jabs as well ! They’ve just had their UK booster too so that’s five doses!! Bombproof, and apart from the second head they’re absolutely fine with it.

That’s interesting. My brother in law got his jab in Qatar and as it was the phizer UK were fine with it. He hasn’t been able to transfer to his NHS app but he has a certificate from the Qatar Ministry of health

Covid fatigue? Will take another upturn in infection, hospitalisations to spark people out of this lethargy?. Hope it doesn’t come to that. Getting a booster takes a few minutes. Dont just do it for yourself, do it for you family and friends.
It seems I was not clear in my initial post. I have taken the booster.

Not eligible for mine until the end of November and I will get it as soon as I can. My Dad had his at the Riverside, no problem booking it. My wife had hers (healthworker so had hers well before mine) at a local pharmacy again not really a problem booking as long as you can be a little flexible. I've had COVID been double jabbed and probably as immune as anyone can be but I will still take the booster as I had the AZ and will therefore get Phizer or t'other one and that also increases your immune response I believe.

I would think that "COVID Fatigue" would people more likely to take the jab than less?

It certainly could go that way. It will be interesting to observe the data.

I am looking for a walk in Moderna jab booster site in Devon, they had one on Sunday at Home Park in Plymouth but unfortunately I was working, I have nothing against Pfizer but looking at the evidence Moderna is better on all fronts.

They don't transfer into the NHS app, but we were able to use our CDC vaccination cards to get the booster and they gave us NHS cards to show we'd had the booster.

I'm early 30s.... I didn't get my 2nd jab until August ... what are the chances of me needing a 3rd booster next year?

I think they did it so they could have it showing on the NHS app to make travel easier.

I have asthma and don't have a clue whether I'll be getting a booster jab or not. According to the papers only asthmatics with "poorly controlled" asthma get one. My asthma isn't poorly controlled yet I got my first jabs before my age group.

Everyone will eventually be offered a booster, then another booster in six months time.
