There’ll still be some who paint him as a misunderstood hero 🙄

Hopefully not, but all that amounts to gross misconduct and yet he can simply switch seats and come back in later if enough of his bluster and bull resonates with the deluded.

I wondered if our lovely Nadine was delaying resigning so that any by election in her constituency would be after his suspension is complete and therefore offering him a potential safe seat back into parliament……. as a reformed character, naturally.

Excellent.

Credit to the committee, particularly the Tories on it.

I mean it was blindingly obvious this is exactly what happened and is the correct outcome but the temptation/pressure to water it down a bit must have been massive.

Maybe there is a slither of hope there's still some decency in politics after all. Grim reading for his acolytes, cheerleaders and apologists. Be interesting to see how many slither back under their rocks.

Mad nads won't obviously. Suspect some of the others might be keeping a low profile on the subject now.

I've lost all faith in the electorate of this country and how the FPTP system is rigged.

The tories need so few votes to stay in power that I could see them dragging Johnson out of storage a couple of months before a GE and the resultant bounce amongst all the racist morons in this country winning the tories another term.

It's been nagging away at me since he was removed as PM to be honest.

Johnson carries the same charismatic gene in the UK as Trump does in the USA. Trump has had dodgy dealings, was threatened with impeachment, taken top security documentation for his own ends, but the majority still think he's the best candidate for re-election as President and will most likely get the Republican nomination. Crazy and baffling, just as baffling for those Johnson supporters insisting that, "he's misunderstood", a PM who has turned an 80 seat Commons overall majority, at the last GE, into a very likely defeat at the next. I have no doubt that Johnson, like Trump, will rise again from the ashes whether we like it or not.

Hopefully not, but you never know with this lot.
I did read that the ban would be applied the next time he had a seat. So if he stands at the next election, in say central beds and wins, his nan starts that day and would trigger a recall.

It's unlikely he comes back from this.

Para 222 is really really important. About attempted intimidation of the committee and undermining it by making public untrue statements about a kangaroo court etc knowing they couldn’t respond.

In football terms, Johnson has effectively put his forehead on the referee and screaming that he’s a bent c… and tried to snatch the refs red card out his hand. Then gone on tv and said the referee is bent and should be removed from football.

I think a lot of MPs will see this as a way to finally rid themselves of Johnson and vote for it.
It'll get through quite easily I'd have thought. They'll want to draw a line under it as quickly as possible.

The usual nutjobs will kick up a fuss but their numbers are dwindling by the day.

Hopefully this will lead to mad Nad shutting her hoop and disappearing into the sunset. Would you want a peerage granted by this man?
