Boris Johnson Massive…

I think it's fair to say he knew damn well he was breaking rules. His issue is he, very likely, believes rules are for the like of you and me, not him.
I'd go further and say that the whole point of Johnson, Eton and the class system is to demonstrate in public that the rules only apply to the little people and then smirk when they face no consequences. Johnson and ever other Eton worm is taught and expected to do that.

I am afraid you will have to pull your next exclusive, water isn't wet. It can make other things wet, but water itself isn't wet.

Don't come on here with your scientific clap trap and pendantry - we're trying to have a (reasonably) serious discussion.

What next - bears don't actually sh*t in woods?

😬😬

I 100% agree. He feels entitled to do as he chooses and screw everyone else

didn't Dawn Butler get kicked out of Parliament for calling Boris a liar?

Water particles are constantly touching each other making each other wet therefor we can conclude water is wet.

This has to be the full stop on the most unedifying and regressive chapter in the story of modern politics.

Johnson was always going to be the architect of his own downfall and the only surprise to me is that it has taken this long to happen, his few remaining supporters look increasingly like rabid dogs barking at a moon made of cheese rather people capable of reason and sentience.

What a hill to chose to die on....drowning amongst the flotsam, jetsam, lagan and derelict of a ship scuppered by a man who had no knowledge of the seas beyond an hour in a Bajan Pedalo.

It will take many a boil wash to remove the stain of Johnson from Parliament and it is telling that not one his supporters has made any reference to his guilt but concentrated their whole argument on the existential nature of truth and honesty, and in 'Boris' that reasoning shows their level of desperation and lack of feasible evidence that would vindicate his actions.

Johnson should have all his resignation honours dismissed and if the Conservative's had any morality or sense of contrition then they should at the very least suspend him from the Party and disqualify him from ever seeking election again as their representative, Sunak and co, could and should take strong action, I suspect, yet again, they won't.

Ah but come on, Eton is a PM factory and has produced some brilliant PMs for this country. Must be why we keep voting for them.

I just caught a bit of the Times Radio discussion on YouTube. Good point was made that this is now a very real test for Sunak. He has to face down the remaining Johnson acolytes, if he fails to do that he will be forever in the crosshairs of Johnson sniping from the sidelines. Start by withdrawing the whip from Mad Nads. The likes of Fabricant and JDM will sharp pipe down or get the same treatment.

It will be interesting to see if he has the nous, the political savvy to do that. Rubberstamp the exclusion of Johnson and perhaps disbar him from the Conservative Party.

The apologists still seem to think it is about him have a bit of cake. Which just shows how far down the rabbit hole they are.

Would he have to give a "Parliamentary" reason (ie archaic outdated load of bollox) to remove the whip from Mad Nad and the Johnson fanclub?

If Sunak can, he should enforce a Three Line Whip on the Privileges Committee Johnson vote, that would allow him to oust the Johnson acolytes and show he respects the rule of Parliamentary Law.
