Boris Johnson

Apparently it's for the good of the country, and that he wants to help to unite parliament.
However, I suspect he hasn't really 'seen the light' at all.

Even if the Conservative party members had been given the chance (and been stupid enough) to vote for Boris Johnson, the rest of the country would have been furious. (There will be plenty of Conservative voters who can see that Boris Johnson lied and cheated. It's just hardline BoJo nutters who wanted him back I reckon).

That thread shows what I've been saying all along, Johnson still commands votes despite people seeing him for what he really is. It makes me despair at times at what some people will forgive or ignore in their own self-interest.
But that’s the thing… so many people will vote for him despite the fact he doesn’t give a damn about them and he will only make their lives worse. But because he’s the funny bloke with the daft hair they like him 🤯

Absolute karma. Johnson drops Mordaunt from the cabinet when he took office on day 1. It comes back to bite him big time. Hilarious.

They like him because for many he emboldens their racist views. Sad to say

Glad to read Mordaunt told him to get lost.

From the Telegraph this morning:

"But behind closed doors, the Johnson campaign’s resolve appeared to be wavering as his officials contacted Penny Mordaunt to ask if she would consider signing a pact - to withdraw from the race in exchange for a plum job.

Despite his team’s claim to have already reached the threshold of 100 MPs, Mr Johnson had just 57 publicly backing him and appeared to be casting around for more support.

Ms Mordaunt gave him short shrift. The Commons Leader, who remembers being ejected from the Cabinet by Mr Johnson on his first day in office in July 2019, told him most of her MP supporters would prefer to back Mr Sunak - and that he should consider dropping out of the race and leave her to face him alone. Her offer was refused."

Seems to me he didn’t get the required number and Telegraph confirming that he is a liar.
