I have had this almost superstitious nervousness whenever the Boro play at the City Ground having been psychologically damaged by seeing Jack Charlton's (almost) Invincibles suffer a shock 1-5 reverse there on my first ever visit to Nottingham in 1974. Even after living in West Bridgford for 24 years-oh the irony- and developing a bit of a soft spot for my local team, unless they're playing the Boro of course, has that nervousness gone away. So I always prepare myself for the worst on every visit and let's face it, justifiably on a few occasions over the years. But it makes the rare wins so much sweeter. Of course, ever the pessimist, I feared the worst when Forest pulled one back and had to cheat and put Sky on again to calm my nerves. But feeling so good now, even though it's only Wednesday, I might even have a beer! UTB!
