Can I go for a pint in Redcar

But if you've got a gadgy fitting a kitchen in your house all day for a least 6 hours that's hardly minimising contact is it? Or are they only allow d to work for a set amount of time per day?
You know the answer Randy. Stop being so obtuse :sneaky:

You can minimise all contact and ban everyone from leaving home ............... whilst simultaneously driving the economy off a cliff.

This measure is aimed at minimising non-essential contact , like having your mates or family round for a few bevies. not preventing people from working.

Nobody knows the answers because every single restriction or 'freedom' contradicts one another.

The country has lost its mind.

And someone Marton couldn’t meet a mate in the Pied Pi

The country has certainly lost its mind. It’s killed 0.07 percent of the population and the majority old or ill. 1 million women have missed vital breast cancer screening. God knows how many other poor souls have gone under the radar with other deadly cancers and heart conditions. Mental health issues, domestic violence, loneliness all rocketing and all of these ‘cures’ will claim far more victims than the disease.

None of those other illnesses matter Jim. There are those who genuinely believe that statement aswell believe it or not. Some statements I've heard recently defending the obsession with covid-19 cases include,
"Cancer isn't contagious"
"The hospitals have always been open, having your surgery put back indefinitely is not our fault"
"Here we can't do anything about your tooth at the moment, here have a DIY kit and fix it yourself but still pay us your taxes".

Yarm is expecting the hordes invading today . Can’t stop thinking of Beverley Hillbillies

btw I’m a Boro lad 😎

I suspect there may be a little bit of dishonesty when the one person signs an erm.....coughs...‘ family ‘ into a boozer . 🤫

Pubs are Covid secure apparently.....petty the people who go in them having a few pints, forgetting about social distancing and mask wearing aren’t.

Would I be OK to visit a Middlesbrough pub for a drink when I live about an hour away in a non locked down area ?

I'm sat here shaking my head in dismay.
Engage your brains please.
You can't be moaning about the effects on the economy and public and mental health and questioning why you can go into a hopefully regulated pub and not in someone's home where there is likely little to no regulation.
If you are having workmen in do you sit and talk to them for 6 to 8 hours or let them get on with their job?
It's hard not socialising, but it's also far less essential than keeping the economy ticking over and preventing long term pain to millions.
The longer people try and get round the guidelines, the longer they'll end up facing them which in itself is counterproductive. If we closed pubs do you honestly think that would mean people wouldn't just socialise at home far more and keep the virus spreading and in circulation?
I'm no fan of the government, but this is a public health matter and it's up to the public to balance daily life with reducing infections and its about time people stopped relying on government and the rules and took some responsibility and exercised their ability to do what no amount of government rules can manage, control the spread of the virus.
