Just me and my wife - not getting daughter added, she's got her own car to wreck 😁.

Ours isn't any kind of flash car either, a crappy 5 yr old 1500 diesel. It's crazy.
 
Just had my insurance renewal quotation jumped up £300 phoned up nothing they could do so asked to increase excess from £200 to £400 and my quote went down by £100 so worth trying
 
I can only say that I'm so glad I took the "fixed price for 3 years" option last year, so same price this year and next year, assuming nothing changes on my side.

Our car is probably worth a bit more (only 2.5 years old) but it still feels like we’re being disproportionately ripped off.
 
Martin Lewis advised best time to get a renewal quote was 23 days before your renewal date. Electric cars seems to have increased insurance prices recently

You should be able to afford your car insurance seeing as you are working two jobs HM Boro - I've just seen you in your uniform waking through Eccles on the way to the Trafford Centre 🤣
