So by the Op's reckoning, every game we didn't win under Carrick was a Big Game and every one we did (that would be the majority that) was an insignificant to our overall season, wouldn't have made the blindest bit of difference game. The fact that he listed Rotherham and Luton as big games despite the fact that there was nothing on them.
Tell you what mate, how about if we swapped all our losses for wins and our wins for losses during Carrick's tenure? Prefer that?
FWIW we'd have finished on 45 points and been relegated, owing to Reading beating us instead of us whalloping them 5-nil and therefore finishing on 47.
Still at least we'd have gotten a round further in the cups. And you could watch us sail down into League One with a grin, safe in the knowledge that we'd won all our Big Games, when it mattered the most.
