Carrick holding Boro talks today

Watching his interviews back, he talks a lot about Fred and McTominay and what their role was in the team, much like his own. Breaking up play and keeping it simple. We are crying out for someone to play that DCM role and I have no doubt that he knows what he wants to do and how he wants to play. He speaks about Sancho too, and he's not just there to be a fancy dan but he had other responsibilities too.

I was on the fence with Carrick initially, but the more I think about it and the more I see, he is exactly what we need. He's not afraid to make a big decision too, i.e., putting Ronaldo on the bench and keeping players on their toes.

he could ring anyone in the world and everyone on the room knows who he is. That’s huge
Yeah, defo for a young player. I’d want to be in the dressing room with the guy that told Ronaldo what to do! and for a young manager to follow in the footsteps of Bryan Robson! Not too shabby either

Just hope we let him bring his own staff if he does come and not force him to use the ones we already have

Hannes Wolf mentioned too

Interesting link, is he working currently do you know?

Someone who can recommend Bundesliga 2 players who are under the radar wouldn't hurt I suppose. Our scouting still seems suspect.

I know that players were put off coming here even on loan when pullis was here as he was a toxic name, this would also help to erase that as well.
Indeed, good young players want someone they respect and will improve them so they can go onto bigger and better things - and we get the windfall cash.

I don’t know much about Carricks managerial creds but I’m gonna trust the process (I mean its worked so far hasnt it 🤔) whoever get the job though, I’ll support them until it’s clear they’ve not got a clue…

hopefully they do and we start our climb up the table…
