Chuba Akpom

Scored 6 games on the bounce now, some going that, thought he worked his socks off last night with very little service.

If we don't go up, I think he will be on his way unfortunately.

When was the last time we had someone who scored 6 on the bounce?
26 league goals and counting...
But that's not the best bit. He is a fabulous footballer first and foremost.
Great skill and touch who buys himself precious time and starts so many of our forward moves.
He has wonderful vision, sublime passing skills, is an unselfish team player, works his balls off, is very physical and never hides.
Oh and he does score the odd goal.

Yes, it'll be difficult for the club to say no to 10mill for him. On a positive, we will be in a superb position from FFP as we already had 10m wiggle room this year, it'll be 20mill for a rebuild.

I would expect a hell of a lot more than 10 million, 15-20 million I reckon, especially when you consider some of the ridiculous money that's paid for very average footballers.

Should he have scored the header in the last few seconds? Haven’t watched it back but looked to me like he was stretching to reach it.

I think he loves it here and you could see how much he appreciated the History Maker display from RF last night as the players walked out.

I would imagine any of the promoted teams will try for him if we don’t make it, think established PL teams will be worried it could be a one season wonder.

Surely he will be in the last year of his contract so we will get nothing like the figures being quoted above?

His contract actually expires in the summer but believe it was confirmed we have a 1 year option.

It's been a pleasure to have seen him in a Boro top this season, I have forgotten what it was like to have seen a free scoring striker play for us, it definitely adds something to your anticipation of the game even if we go on to lose, Monday at Bristol City still has that buzz about it because of his potential to to score and go a step nearer the 30 mark.

What, 10m? I don't think the club would sell him for any less. At those sorts of numbers it probably makes more sense to just gamble on him getting us up next season even if it means you let him leave on a free at the end.

As stated above makes no sense to sell even if we get 8-15 million. Take the goals next season and get promoted and thank him for his service at the end. We were before Wilder got him back in the team going to probably sell him for free anyway.

I’d hope so, but we have a weak hand in that he has 12 months left on his contract. I guess it depends who is interested in signing him

Was a great moment yesterday before kick off.
He seemed not to have noticed the south stand banner until McGree pointed it out to him. He then gave them a long salute.
Full credit to Red Faction or whoever was behaving the banners 👍

It would be a crap return, if we were in the prem he could be the difference between staying up or not, if we are in this division his potential goals and build up play would hopefully be a big part of a strong promotion push. £15m is exactly that, £15m, it does not translate to betters players on the pitch.Him playing successfully is more valuable to us financially.
