Connolly really ?

If he turns it round and starts regularly playing well and scoring plenty of goals then i will happily hold my hands up. However i suspect he hasnt got it or by the time he gets upto speed the seasons will be over. Signing an unfit striker low on confidence is a bad short term loan option regardless of talent
I hope so as rated him in games I have seen for Brighton. He needs to come out of the team and then work his way back in with good impacts from the bench. I’m sure he will do that soon. Hernandez is playing well for Birmingham which won’t be helping with fan frustration

I don't get the stick. He's hardly played this season and a new club/City etc. I mean he was getting hammered for eating a meal with his missues so nothing surprises me on here.

Just remember some people were posting 'Uche is a carthorse' after 11mins of the Fulham game😂

I would say Watmore has been a bit hard done by. I'd have thought both Connelly and Balogun would have to have 'earned' a starting place as joining a side doing well.

It's not like they both joined a struggling side and needed throwing in.

Hernandez is a funny one i thought he was very poor for months but last 6 weeks or so really started to play well. The balance he gave us on the left is something we are missing now

When we signed him I was quite happy.
Saw him as the type of 'pressing' player to come on once Watmore had exhausted himself after 60/65 minutes.
He hasn't been used this way.
Like most fans I was surprised he started yesterday.
It's time for a rethink surely?

If they are on loan then its unlikely the player or his parent club will be willing to wait for a starting place

It looked yesterday that he just wanted to be subbed, a lonely lace out there when youre struggling, dont think CW has done Connelly any favours starting him in any of the games TBF, impact sub could have been the best option, his confidence will be shattered

Boxing Day, Forest simply couldn't handle Hernandez and he also created space for Sporar, they linked up really well that day.
Bit disappointed to see him leave.
Spot on. And he was in fire on Boxing Day
Vs forest.
He’s been hard done by vs conelly

I thought you were better than throwing daft insults

It clearly is personal, he was getting grief before he had put a foot on the field for us.
This forum at times is a cesspit, no need at all to resort to name calling people, BoroMart didnt deserve that, thought we were suppose to be adults, by all means have a debate about something but do it in a friendlier way

Its 100% personal for a few people on here.
Agree. Mind was made up before he kicked a ball and i sense a little bit of happiness in some posters posts that he hasn’t hit the ground running so they can continue with their dislike. Hope the lad turns it around. I’m sure he will. If he does I want to see the same posters happy to praise him as they are to whinge about him at every opportunity

I agree that he's been out of sorts in all 3 games but its only 3 games, yes maybe he should have started all 3 on the bench, but who am I to question our manager

I do think after 10 minutes on saturday when he lost out to a defender his confidence looked shot

I have no problem with him starting if Wilder feels once he’s Upto speed he is Gonna be an asset and a main stay in our team who will score goals. I think we are trying to make him play his way into sharpness and form which can work. Maybe now he’s had 3 games and it hasn’t happened and we have a cup game coming now is the time to take him out of the firing line from the start and then bring him on against United. A positive impact off the bench in that game would do his confidence the world of good.

Yes he’s definitely short of confidence Hadn’t realised how little football he has played in his career so far. Just 50 games in 5 seasons.
