Thought we looked more solid down the left and more threatening when Engel and Bangura were in tandem.

Yes, that was the big takeaway for me from last night. It will be interesting to see if that is something that we look to develop as we are very reliant on our right for creativity.

We've been poor down that left side for the last few games no matter what the combination is between VDB/Clarke/Engel/Bangura. They get little to no protection from in front of them with Barlaser and Greenwood/Rogers.

And yet goals and chances conceded more often have come from the right, Hull, Swansea and last night. Also I noticed Clarke having to step across to the right a couple of times last night to cover for a missing Fry. I know that's the norm for centre backs but had it been Fry covering for Clarke we would have heard more about it.

He may not look it but believe me he is.

He always looks like his is pulling a tractor through treacle to me. He is often done for pace.. always worries me when he gets one on one.

I think he sometimes reacts slowly, but it's not down to pace.

it’s when I see somebody knocks the ball past him, then runs faster than him to catch up to the ball before Paddy can get to it.. its at this point I often think that he lacks pace
