Do some of you think you might be slightly over-reacting?

We don’t have the quality in the first team squad that we had in March but we’re 24th. Unless you think we have the 24th best squad, surely nonsense there’s plenty worse, then at the very least that difference is down to the coach to sort. I’d give him time to sort it. But it’s on him to that extent.

But he didn't
Indeed, but whether he did or didn't makes no difference on the quality of our recruitment, the competence of Michael Carrick or indeed the scruffiness of Kieran Scott, yet had he done so the opinions on those from some of the posters on here would have been quite different.

he stands watching the midfield get over run

We were the only team who looked like scoring today before a guy who hadn’t scored in 4 years hits a worldie from 30 yards

He has dropped McGree from the first 11

Lots on these boards were calling for that.

he thinks Rogers has the technique and awareness to play as a number 10

Lots on these boards were calling for that.

There really isnt plenty worse

We have replaced £50m of talent with yet more ‘development players’.
We have taken one point from 4 very winnable games. I’ll except West Brom.
It is the worst start in our history.
The play is ponderous and wholly predictable.
The recruitment is inexplicable. 3 left backs when we desperately need another striker.
We have recruited quantity over quality.
The club promised much in the ST blurb and have delivered zilch.
No we are not over-reacting.
Having said all that, I’ll be there at Ewood Park, again.

We installed Wilder as manager and the turn around was massive, but we lost form towards the end of the season and we had a terrible start the following season as the manager had no plan B.

In comes Carrick and again the turnaround was massive but we lost form again when it mattered and there’s no plan B. All substitutions are like for like with no change in formation,

However, we lost 4 cracking loan players along with the Championship Player of the season and we’ve replaced them with young unproven players so recruitment again is left wanting.

This club is in serous trouble both on and off the pitch,

We could have signed some seasoned pros and tried to carry on at a similar level to where we left off, but we haven't gone down that route for whatever reason. I suspect it's mainly about the money you pay for established quality (we seemingly don't have much) and the wider vision of building a team that can develop. I'm sure we'd sign O'Brien and the like outright if we could, but the fee would be too much. No surprise we're going with Coburn, really

I won't be too critical right now. We know we've mainly signed potential, and we don't know how it will pan out. But you don't reach that judgement over 4 league games. You have to take a long view and see if it's working at the end of the season. If you sign potential and prospects, you have to have patience. If we'd spent £30m odd on household names and it was *****, I could understand. That's why people were angry under Garry Monk. We've spent relative peanuts on a long-term project and yet people seem to think we'll just hit the ground running.
