Do some of you think you might be slightly over-reacting?

In answer to the title, yes. People getting their beds out to start ******* on them already. This season is not going to be a repeat of last, anyone could see that based on recruitment. I have faith it will come good and if we finish outside the playoffs, but safe, I'll consider that a good season and we go into the following season looking for promotion.

Every championship team we have played so far this season has looked much better than us. Better in defence, better in midfield and better up front. Better as a team and better individuals.
I really hope that we can start to gel the players together, but I worry that some just are not good enough.

Absolutely ott reactions.

Have we been good? No of course not. Carrick has to take some responsibility for selections and substitutions. But this is a project not an overnight solution. Lots of new young players trying to work things out. Some won’t be good enough, some will.

We’ve also had no luck. Every mistake is being punished. Every opponent who shoots is finding the top corner. Every ricochet in either box is falling to the other team. This won’t continue.

We’ve got a good young manager who is still learning, wants to play football the right way, but is having a tough patch. Please can we not hound him out of the club based on a handful of games.

That's true about every opponent scoring it seems. Dozzell who scored a worldy today, last scored in 2019!🫣

The problem is we have gone from playing some of the most attractive football most of us have ever seen to one absolutely incapable of passing to another team mate.

Individual errors all over the pitch. Time and time again. All over the place and whenever we move the ball forward, forwards who don't appear good enough to use it.

If you think this side is good enough then you’re in denial yes the new boys should sort things out when Bedded in but we are light years from where we were in February.

When did we last win?

This isn't an over-reaction and it isn't just about the start of this season (which has been truly dreadful) it's about a longer run of games where we've been found out and Carrick hasn't been able to change things successfully.

I'd still back him to turn it around but the current run of form, our position in the league and the poor performances by some of the new players has really put him in it.

I cannot possibly come to a reasonable opinion on whether this team is good enough after FIVE games including when some of our new players have just walked through the door. If we are bottom in a month's time then maybe so.

Knee-jerkism at its worst.

And ok you can list as many tough games as you like but 'it is the Championship'. Of the four teams you've listed, one just drew at home with Sheffield Wednesday, one got battered 5-0 away, and one just lost at Rotherham.

19th April we last won in league

We’ve got a good young manager who is still learning.
He's not learning, we've made the same mistakes for about fifteen games, he stands watching the midfield get over run from the technical area with his finger on his lips like it's an out of body experience, and there's nothing he can do to change it. He has dropped McGree from the first 11, he thinks Rogers has the technique and awareness to play as a number 10, he thinks that after going a goal down at home to a relegation rival the best way to change it is to take your most lively striker and attacking midfielder off. Leaving one up top, he has done nothing to change our horrendous set pieces for the last six months.

I can accept the players being poor because of what we've spent. I can't accept a lack of adaptability, organisation and fight/effort. That comes from the manager.
