Everton’s run in

There looks a distinct possibility based on those fixtures.....but you just get this sneaky deja-vu feeling they will finish 17th on GD and stay up simply because there are three worse teams in the PL.

The Leicester game is the proverbial relegation 6 pointer if ever I saw one.

Yes so do I. I can foresee that last game v Bournemouth at Goodison will be a win to save themselves and they will.

I hope it happens yes. With the demise of Chelsea (which I don’t think is temporary by the way) and the inability of Spurs to build on 2-3 years of progress under Pocchetino, I think the PL may become a bit less of a closed shop for the top 6-7 positions. That said, I really hope City don’t win it, and I really hope Newcastle can’t maintain their improvement this season.

Brighton and Villa are currently playing so much better than any other team outside Arsenal and City and it is great to see.

Yes, and TBF so are Newcastle.

There is only really a “big 2” this season, I suppose United may come third. The rest of the “big 6” have had disastrous seasons. I used to think of Everton as the sort of next big side, but hopefully not after this season.

I think they will do just enough to survive,Everton in the Championship would bounce straight back and make auto's even harder although we might not be in that division

Why do so many people want Everton to go down? What have they done to attract so much ill feeling? Not that I'm bothered whether they go down or not. Now if it was Man Utd......... (one can but dream)

You reap what you sow.
They need burying.

I feel the same. If they go down tough sh,i-t and wouldn't have any sympathy etc , but not wanting them down any more than anyone else
Looking at that run in they might not get another point 😂
They 'should' beat Leicester and Bournemouth, but Fulham had lost 5 in a row, and they also managed to lose at home to Southampton - so who knows?
Now if we talk about Leeds....🤞

I know a lot of Everton fans - including family members - and they've all been convinced they are going down all season. There's no hope left in the club at all. Even when I suggest Dyche is the man to save them, they're convinced it would only postpone the inevitable and they'll go down next year instead.

The club has major structural problems that have been papered over for years. They've only survived this long by throwing dirty money after yet more dirty money.

I don't have animosity towards Everton but it's ridiculous that they've been continuously top flight for all of our lives.
They were popular with Boro fans for a night when they relegated Sunderland for us.

If you were looking for negatives, it would have to be Gordon Lee's 'diversity policy'.

I have no real ill feeling towards Everton - they are "the dogs of war" for a reason and I think, like many here, they'll stay up by the skin of their teeth.....West Ham on the other hand....I'd take a front row seat to watch them get relegated. All this crap about "the west ham way"..b***ks. So in an ideal world, West ham, Leeds and one other. If its Everton, fair dos. In truth, I think it will be Southampton, Leicester and, I dearly hope, West ham.

As an aside, how can Dean Smith be sacked by Villa, go to Norwich, be sh1t there, then walk into a job at Leicester? Same as Frank lampard....did ok at Chelsea with nish cash, went to Everton and was garbage, walks back into the Chelsea job.

Madness!

Big club, it’s always funny whoever it is. But also, they do have a fan base who think of them as a side who should be challenging for the CL etc, when in reality they’ve been a mid-table side for decades and decades but for a short purple patch under Howard Kendall in the 80s that lasted about 3-4 seasons.

Exactly this ⬆️ it would shatter the glass ceiling as one of the untouchables falls from mount Olympus.

It would be a huge story and hopefully shape up the rest.

Might stop the arrogance as well
