Everton - 12 point deduction?

Interestingly I was watching this last night. Cloughie was adamant it was Liverpool fans' fault even a long time after the event. I guess you probably knew this. Silly old sod.

Yeah, I think he backtracked slightly when there was talk of fans refusing to buy a football magazine that he had just been employed by as a columnist, but the damage had already been done.

In fact I’d just read something about this earlier today and about how John Aldridge didn’t accept his apology due to how long it took to take back his comments.

In that case EVERY team plays the victim. EVERY team disputes decisions that don’t go their way. Including teams who frivolously appeal the length of a player’s ban for slapping Javier Mascherano. 😉

Not to the length that you lot do (replaying a game FFS!), you also benefit from a lot of decisions going your way, and the resultant media adoration that brings with it - yet never stop moaning.

I'm sure there are decent Liverpool fans (you as a poster seem a nice guy) but I'm yet to meet a bigger set of glory supporting, smug, self congratulatory, blind to anything but the PL fanbase than you lot - it also doesn't help when most Liverpool fans I've ever encountered come from the Home Counties rather than even the North West.

I'm not a fan, you could say.

I can see them getting a 12 point deduction if they get 14 points clear of the relegation zone later this season. They are well capable of doing that given how bad the bottom 4 are.
I think that vastly underestimates how bad Everton are. And SheffU drew with them - Luton beat them

No one was seriously expecting a replayed game, and I wouldn’t have wanted one either, even though I believe we would have beaten Spurs under any other scenario than the one that was played out.

To be fair I tend to agree with you regarding a lot our fans, as well as the blinkered we-can-do-no-wrong fans of most teams. I understand the partisan attitude, but I can’t be doing with the fans that argue against a decision when the tv evidence shows that it’s obviously the correct decision. Pundits and commentators are prone to this kind of ‘blindness’ as well. Just accept you were wrong and move on. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m more of a pragmatic fan, if we do well, which we have been doing for a while, then great. If we do badly, then oh well, never mind.

And Sheff Wed drew with us, QPR beat us. Are we worse than them?

What's the chippyness about Everton. If they've done wrong they should be penalised. If they've done wrong and aren't penalised it's the FA Premier League at fault.

I agree.
I have no particular dislike for them - unlike plenty of others on here
However I do think their performances are awful
As I said in my earlier post if they've done wrong they should be penalised, if they haven't they shouldn't be
