FAO Rob@fmttm, issues with bank cards declining.

To at least help Teesside based fans, surely open the Ticket office and allow people to pay cash for home games.

It sounds like hundreds of fans are affected - using 8 different cards etc shows the cards are not the problem.

Morning, I had similar problems yesterday - tried a few cards.
However, whilst the tickets were still in the basket I linked a card to my account and it went through.
I didnt have a card linked previously so maybe try this?
I had trouble for the Chelsea game and ended up ringing up.

Has there been any discussion with the club yet regarding Season Ticket holders being able to buy extra tickets ahead of non season ticket holders who have priority points? Any feedback from the club on his ridiculous situation?
Yes - it turns out this was a request from many season card holders to be able to bring family/friends. The take up was not as big as we feared. Maybe 4000 tops.
I doubt it will be repeated for play offs/Wembley. We made it clear the level of complaints. But it did come as a supporters' request. And they thought it was a reward for sticking by the club.
What we learned was it was never likely to sell out on season cards and guests. The online map people were looking at was showing all seats in peoples baskets and also season card holders seats as well as seats they were planning to transfer to (many decided to move for the games).
But the club would also not be able to announce anything until they knew official figures.
One moral of this tale is do not believe it when ticket office site says there are only 40 tickets left etc. Yesterday the figures were constantly bouncing up and down.
Boro are looking to see if there are any ways they can tweak the software to give a more accurate reading.
But for now I would say the actual number of tickets available might well be much higher than is shown while people are actually still buying.

Thanks Rob - I find it odd that the club just arbitrarily decide to do something they must know is contentious without even consulting anyone at the Supporters forum but that's MFC for you. Also I'd be interested to know how many "many" actually is, did they say?

This 'in peoples' baskets' will presumably include all those supporters in 'card declined' limbo. This is an unacceptable shambles.

You get 30 mins to complete the transaction so surely tickets 'in the basket' is only temporary - for 30 mins or until someone logs out.....

I just had my bank card declined for the Posh ticket I bought. Thankfully used my business account card but its an issue that definitely needs sorting.
