He seems to drift out wide right in the vids. But seems he can play left as well. You could play Rogers left and Lath right with a new CF.

It depends what type of player Engel is. If he's very attack minded, which I believe he is, then as with Giles, having Smith on the right sitting back will allow him to get forward.

I think we’ll try to sell Paddy + Dijksteel and will Loan Coburn out
I think we’ll buy a striker, Loan a CM and RB
I do not think we will sign a new number 10 with Rogers and Gilbert having been signed and others in the squad who can slot in there
Personally I’d like to sell or loan Coulson and bring in LB cover too
Crooks is another enigma who I don’t see a place in a Carrick team for tbh, I’d sell. I just don’t understand why either of these two had new contracts

Surely couldn't be for the first team, he's only had 4 mins of league football in Brazil. Clearly well thought of over there as he is part of the Brazil U20 squad.

I'd like a hard man. Someone who is more likely to rip your head off and spit down your neck than make that stupid heart gesture that all footballers seem to do nowadays. We are looking at various markets searching for bargains - have we considered looking in prisons?

Has anyone heard of Matty Crooks? I’d much prefer him in midfield to Payero or Barlaser.

Yeah, agree it might, but we’re already on 9,incomings I think, so I don’t see it being much more disruptive, especially if one could somehow be Archer (unlikely as that may sound). I think we have one more big incoming, possibly 3 dependent on the quality of loans

The reserve team would beat that '1st' team most weeks.
McNair and Payero start every game for me.
Coburn must be gutted if he gets sent to Plymouth - although, the Plymouth manager is making a very good impression - id like to see Coburn go to Derby if we send him out on loan, a very progressive manager, decent crowds and start to put behind us our recent dispute with them.
id also like to see the lad Curtis Jones from Liverpool come to us for a season loan, he is a quality and hard working young footballer.

I love Crooksy, a great for team morale maybe, but I don’t see how he fits in other than a bench warmer in a MC team. He isn’t a hard man, robust and a bit clumsy maybe, but not hard.
Payero, keep forgetting about him. I think he’ll likely be off too. Barlaser is an enigma as to where you play him, He has the 4 shirt so think he’s going nowhere just yet, January might see him move on mind.
