I disagree with the original post. I think stadiums will really struggle to attract crowds.

1. Many people, especially over 40, will be put off at been in such a crowded space that they will wait a bit longer before returning.

2. Matchday experience will be completly different. No chance people will be allowed to congregate in the concourses for at least a season. Queues won’t be allowed so if you want food or drink be prepared to miss a portion of the match. If so why would you even want to go?

3. Atmosphere. Away fans won’t be allowed in again for a significant amount of time. This will take away a big reason what creates a good atmosphere at the game.

4. Many people are now used to not paying for football. With matches on SKY at various kick-off times and things like Final Score / Soccer Saturday allowed to show goals as they go in they will find it hard to give this up and if it remains (money talks) then more reason for the casual fan not to attend.

Just my opinion but Boro will struggle to get crowds above 20,000 regularly in the Championship. Only chance of seeing a full Riverside again is if we go up.

I just think there's no place for people like you on a message board. Some of us use this board to communicate. People amusing themselves with puerile nonsensical comments on serious threads does nothing but a: distract from the topic, b: waste everyone's time and c: makes you like like a pathetic child.

There's no place for it on an adults board.

That’s the advantage of being a rugby fan. In the mid lockdowns match I went to you could get beer ordered to your seat!

You can drink in your seat at lots of football matches, hopefully starting this summer.

Some grounds will fill up, Brentford for example for a couple of reasons.

Boro will struggle unless there's an upturn in form and performance.

I kind of meant how they would introduce it. I can’t see them going from no crowds to 30-60000 people straight away. I imagine there will be a phased approach with smaller crowds like they tried last autumn
