Don’t live ”darn sarth“ by any chance do you?On the " doesnt sound the brightess.' Ive been told this myself to my face. Ive got 2 degrees and a masters. So dont judge dael on his accent.
It’s things like this and the recent Tav stats that prove just how much the average fan misses when watching the game. Dael just gets on with his game playing consistently well in this league. They both deserve a crack at the Premier league in a year or two. Ideally it’s with us. Far worse players have done it.
'a Woodgate' - one of the best English defenders in recent years. you can speak about Jonathan Woodgate in the same conversation as John Terry or Rio Ferdinand and not even blush. Jonathan Woodgate was a world class defender.. daft as a brush and taken for granted perhaps. But properly good, genuine quality. Being in the championship and saying a defender is far from a Woodgate isn't saying much at all really. most premiership defenders are 'far from a Woodgate'All fair points.
Have to admit, watching Fry, I don’t see the £25m centre half other people see.
He’s outstanding with a proper leader next to him and if he doesn’t have that, a good player and great with the ball at his feet but certainly not a defensive rock. I thought Gibson was a better defender and a better prospect.
I dunno, for some of the sums and clubs that’s talked about for Fry, you’d expect the best defender in the Championship who can dominate and run a defence on his own - like Van Dijk - and that’s not Fry at all.
Don’t get me wrong, good player and still developing obviously but he’s far from a Woodgate and not even a Wheatear yet for me.
Dael Fry is up there in the championship, I don't think there are many championship players worth £25m.. if any!Oh yeah, best defender I’ve ever seen after Southgate. Totally agree.
