Giles to Luton done

Reminds me of summer 2006. Id met a girl, out of my league. She ended it after a few weeks. I pretended i was ok over the course of the following weeks but held on to that hope she would take me back, we even exchanged a few texts a week giving me all the false hope i needed.

I started to dream of what was too come - she had realised i was good for her, deserved her, that, together we could become anything we wanted. Every day i let the hope get me carried away.

Then bang, one day, her Myspace updated and she was seeing somebody else.

Thank you Giles for bringing this back to the surface.

I had pretty much the same thoughts this morning.

A girl way out of my league - but it was going ok for a while. Then I could tell she was having doubts but clung on to the hope. I’m now waiting for Giles to Luton in much the same way I was dreading her phone call telling me it was over. The inevitable happened and I was gutted.

The good news however, years later I met and married a right stunner.

You just never know what events are going to transpire…

ITTK Giles medical at Luton today ahead of £5.5m + add on deal.

Alex Bangura wants to come and we want to bring him in.

Ryan Giles didn’t invent being a left back and Cameron Archer isn’t wanted by Aston Villa.. they are still looking at strikers. They nearly sold him to us un January.. I don’t think they’re particularly keen on Aaron Ramsey either.

Anyway.. we’ve had players in and we’ve managed to replace them before.

Irreplaceable:
Bamford, Vossen, Tomlin..
with
Nugent, Stuani, Ramirez

We could change out
Giles, Ramsey, Archer
for
Bangura, Rogers, Piroe
 
From Carrick saying “we’ll see”, it suggests we’re still a possibility for signing Giles.
If he was close to Luton MC would’ve dodged the question better or been straight with the fans n said it’s not looking good. Can’t see Carrick wanting to give false hope.

We've all been there, maybe some unfortunate souls not the latter bit, but hopefully they gain elsewhere :LOL:

I can certainly to relate to this! 😂😂

I bumped into one girl from a particular summer in the mid-2000’s last year. I was pretty pleased in the end as realised I’d dodged a bullet.

But then again, she probably had exactly the same thoughts about me! 😆

If he is having a medical today why has it taken 5 days after a fee was agreed. Just interested to know the reasons for this from those in the know.
