Good Interview with Carrick in the website

Run of the mill interview really.

Please to be here.
Special club.
Know the area.
Love Steve.
High standards from playing career.

Etc etc.

I’ve never really heard him speak before. I thought he was really articulate, which is unusual for football managers, are you with me?

I don’t think he just said the platitudes, I think he actually meant them. And he looks proud as punch to be here, in our current state. Fair play

He didn’t say anything any other manager we’ve ever appointed hasn’t said, except the part that he played for the club and when he was 9, which was obviously to win us over.

Problem is the fella that was interviewing him was effectively telling him what to say.

I agree it was standard stuff. But it’s the way he said it. I believe him

I'm sure Rob will give him a harder time at tomorrows presser ..

Spoke well, more of a natural speaker than woody was… although it’s unfair to judge someone on how they are in front of a camera, compared to how they may be in the dressing room. Robbo was as wooden as they come in interviews

Definitely. I never saw Wilder or Warnock that excited at the start. He sounds up for the job. We are not an attractive proposition at the minute, so for him to come in, knowing the structure of the club and how he has to work is refreshing.

Wilder and Warnock both came across like they were doing us a favour being here. Egos way beyond their capabilities, both of them.

Great to have a more grounded personality in charge again (and someone who has actually achieved more in the game than those two ever did)
