No poster on here knows what the wage contract details are for any of our players - and rightly so.
The idea of a website with all the precise weekly wages accurately represented is a joke.

The O/P said Boro paid higher wages than other Champo clubs which I doubted in 2022. My guess is we are paying similar to most Championship clubs.

I agree we don't know the exact details, but George Friend did say ity was offered £13k/week to stay at Boro. He wanted to stay but said Brum had offered him more, enough more to make it worthwhile moving. The £13k was taking into account his age and injury record in later years.

Again I doubt we offered Ayala £20k a week based on the £13k/week to GF. I would accept £17k/week which is probably what Blackburn paid him too.

To me there is enough evidence about in the last 2 years to show we are not big payers in this division any longer, hence its taking a long time to get deals done if done at all. I don't blame the club, they have to stick to FFP rules and limit the debt ther club gets into even though its Gibson family debt.

Strikers will in general get higher wages - 27,500 Euros for Akpom is not impossible - its about £23k/week. Greek football is similarly to Scottish Premier. The Old Firm will pay those wages for a striker. POAK are a top 3 side in Greece.

When fans and posters on here complain about ticket prices, remember every penny of the ticket price pays for players.

You are right to be sceptical and I don’t think the figures are necessarily accurate, although how accurate they are I have no idea. I am though pretty sure the figures are not just plucked out of the air. There must be some sort of methodology at work when you consider that they have data across most popular sports and some of the quoted salaries for Premiership stars are close to what I’ve seen reported elsewhere.

Lingard's reported £200k/week put into perspective what we pay, and Forest are a similar size club.
