As someone has suffered personally and through loved ones the one piece of advice I would give is if you are offered help, take it. The people you care about also care about you.
During Covid I had to put someone in an ambulance knowing that I couldn't go with them due to restrictions and they're doing well now.
The light at the end of the tunnel isn't always a train, but even if it is we live in the UK. Its bound to be cancelled.
