I have to admit I absolutely hammered it and frankly thought 'what's the point?'. I mean it's basically T20 with a bit of tweaking.
That's said.... Ive actually watched a few games 'dipping in and out'. I don't think I've watched a full one. Just stick on the 2nd innings if nothing on and the missus watching some guff. So I think it's slightly won me over. I even posted the other night about Alex Hales being hit in the Goolies
The one thing I will say is that it appears to have been an absolute success. The grounds are far fuller than domestic T20 matches and everyone is having a good time. It seems like a bit of a 'laugh' especially with kids on Holidays.
So it's much needed revanue for these clubs post covid. They get feck all income from domestic cricket at the best of times. So I'd say its been done very well. It has a bit of a feeling of when sky got hold of the Darts.
It's definitely here to stay. Also if it gets bigger then more 'stars' will come over. I am actually suprised how many big T20 stars have been involved. God knows what De Kock is getting paid. Also seeing England team mates bowling at each other can be amusing (they seem to have a laugh about it).
I actually looked at getting tickets for one down here in Hampshire. It was a bit of a faff though as you don't do it through Hampshire and need a 100 account and do it through the 100 website. They then randomly release batches of tickets. So didn't bother.
I see the final is already soldout (week on sat).
So like when we signed Bolasie......i stand corrected
