I think we have nothing to fear but the analysis in the OP neglected to mention the 12th+ men the team of officials, even at their most diligent and inquisitory they took about half an hour so find what was wrong with the Villa goal. Those guys!
 
 
Utd look a pale shadow of what they were . Defence collectively very suspect. Midfield tend to be dominated. Upfront very inconsistent. Fans? Poor vocal support last night. See how they react to a few thousand raw- throated Teessiders giving their all. Interesting game for sure
 
The gulf in class between the premiership and championship is huge. They might be going through a rough spell by tgeir standards but they're still 7th in the premier league.

We have an outside chance but we are massive underdogs in this tie.

There is no doubt that Varane is a good player infact the Man U team is full of good and even great players, but at the moment they aren't performing and some of them aren't even trying.
