It will be interesting to see what happens when a Labour government is elected, which of course is just a matter of time. If I was Houchen I wouldn't want to be anywhere near public office when all these dodgy goings on are properly scrutinised.
It will all end on tears for him. Did he not learn from Boris??
Yeah, whenever I see Ireland on TV, the first thing I think of is compassion. You’re starting finally to realise how thick and lazy the English voters really are ?
Note how I didn’t mention Welsh Scottish and the Irish because they are all brighter than the English when it comes to figuring out politicians in terms of what’s morally acceptable and just the best most compassionate way forward for our society
Houchen is 1/5 across the board to win the election.
McEwan is 7/2
Bookies have been known to be wrong in elections but not often. Fully expect Houchen to win
River Dance for me.Yeah, whenever I see Ireland on TV, the first thing I think of is compassion.
They're Tory tactics. Don't get what's behind each party mixed up, there's a long distance between them. It’s the same people who say that Houchen has brought a lot of investment to the area who don’t even bother to look into the actual deal that was made for Teesworks. £560m of taxpayer money spent in a project we now own 10% of. The airport we spent millions on is now losing millions. Steve Gibson - one of the most respected people in the area (regardless what you think of his previous political views - I also find it questionable) has encouraged the public to vote against him despite previously being pals and business partners.
It’s an actual joke working class people will put this lying charlatan back into office for another 3/4 years.
When Labour win the election we could definitely get left behind - there’s a real chance out of 12 mayors we literally could have the only Tory one. And would Labour really prioritise an area with a Tory mayor? I honestly wouldn’t blame them for putting that money into other areas - as sad that is to say.
Just had 20p on ChrisHouchen is 1/5 across the board to win the election.

Politics latest: Local elections voting into final hours - as former PM forgets his photo ID
Millions of people across England and Wales are voting in today's local elections, though former prime minister Boris Johnson failed at the first attempt after forgetting his photo ID. Up in Scotland, John Swinney looks set to become the next SNP leader and first minister.news.sky.com
Well Boris has got away with it hasn't he.It will be interesting to see what happens when a Labour government is elected, which of course is just a matter of time. If I was Houchen I wouldn't want to be anywhere near public office when all these dodgy goings on are properly scrutinised.

Who decides what "serious" isHope Labour go for it. Get in there and drag him.
“In 2009, the Committee for Privileges and Conduct issued a report suggesting that the House be granted the power to expel members. The resulting House of Lords Reform Act 2014 allowed for expulsions to be made on grounds of non-attendance or serious criminal conviction.”
It's in the legislation - a jail sentence of at least one year.Who decides what "serious" is
