How is jack clark not in the premier league ?

Best player on the pitch, miles better than Rogers so you’d think he’d be good enough for a place on villas bench at least
 
Not sure about Clarke myself, he is maybe a player who is effective at the top end of the Championship but I think the Premier League defenders will snuff him out.

Didn’t he get shown the door by Spurs? It’s noticeable that the transfer window bid was from Italy rather than the premier league, although the rumours are that there is interest.

Matter of opinion and the way a player is used, but for me Jones does more defensive whilst still giving an real attacking threat.

Clarke only offers one when things going well. Only seen him on a few occasions but when backs against the wall he is next to useless off the ball.

Know which one of the two I would want in my team and trenches when things get tough. But guess horses for courses.

Also think Jones has work to do on finishing and final ball and if he can get those to click then he ups his level again.
 
Feel like I'm in a different world when I read threads on here. Not sure if its bias or that I dont watch enough football anymore.

I thought he really challenged us all game. If he had good forwards with him I think he would have had 3 or 4 assists today.
 
Best player on the pitch. Also stands out almost every time I watch them on TV.

He will leave in the summer. I imagine a newly promoted team may go for him. I can't see many established sides forking out 20mil +

I'm not sure why anyone thinks Jones is as good or better. The difference in terms of end product is night and day.

This, trippier had him in his pocket a couple of weeks ago, didn’t get a sniff the whole game. Trippier isn’t even particularly good defensively but had his number. Think he is going to be the next player that’s too good for the championship but not quite good enough for the premier league, think he’d be okay but not great, just woulda’t bring enough value for the sort of money the Mackems would want.
 
Clearly a good player but Boro kept him out of the game mostly. When he was involved he was effective, no doubt.
 
I think he likes being the superstar in a team full of journeymen a bit like matt letiss its very easy for him at Sunderland. He would have to be far more disciplined to be successful in the premier league.He is absolutely awful when he is turned and has to defend. Great on the ball passenger without it very much a winger from bygone days.
