The difference though is that others sides don’t beat Leicester and Southampton then lose to Rotherham.Preston are a funny team and have looked like both promotion and relegation contenders this season alike.
People say we're inconsistent, of course we are, all clubs in our league position are inconsistent, if we were consistent we'd be at the top of the table. Never understood that one.
Coventry lost to Rotherham. The difference though is that others sides don’t beat Leicester and Southampton then lose to Rotherham.
No. That was ended a long time ago. Go back to the summer and the playoff push ended when we sold our best player and replaced our promotion calibre loan players with cheap projects.... realistically end the play off challenge?
Depending on results that could put us 9 points outside of the top 6.
Awful thought but could the season be effectively over if Jon Parkin turns it on tomorrow?
Alternatively - big confidence win tomorrow, Norwich and Watford take a point off each other, a couple of surprise defeats for Hull and the Mackems - bish bash bosh, we are in the mix, bring a spoon gents.

They didn’t beat Southampton though that’s the point our inconsistency is not the norm as we beat the best then fail to turn up v the poorer sides and we always have.Coventry lost to Rotherham.
They also beat Leicester.
Yes it does.it makes no sense.
Other than a centre forward, we have more than enough ability to be amongst the mix. Our issue has been the injuries, we seemed just to be getting over them and then will lose another.
There are still 16 games to go but if I am being honest, I can't see us finishing in the top 6.
Edit: Forgot the ST part - What incentive is there for a new ST to pay £70 more than an existing season ticket holder?
Your missing the point this is not a one off we regularly lose to the worst and beat the best and that is because we raise our game for the bigger games which is wrong.Yes it does.
It's football.
Coventry also drew with Saints. So they've gained 4 points off Leicester and Saints....yet lost to Rotherham. Very similar to us.
Liverpool sit top of the PL, and yet they failed to beat Luton. It's football.
I agree. Consistency isn't about winning the games you should and losing the games you should otherwise you'd be able to predict the results every week based on league position alone which you never can.Yes it does.

Personally I think we’ll finish 6th. Or 9th. That’s the beauty of this league. We’re in with a decent shout until the end of AprilBecause that was October, and in the following 3 months we have been inconsistent at best. We don't have a CF, Carrick doesn't know what his best team is - injuries have definitely taken their toll.
It's not a criticism, just an observation.
I personally just can't see it happening. Just a step too far for us this season.
And Forss, despite him playing all his career as a CF is not going up top. He's the new Stuani.
Of course we are.Personally I think we’ll finish 6th. Or 9th. That’s the beauty of this league. We’re in with a decent shout until the end of April
11th place beckons then! This image below shows the rest of the season simulated by someone. Shows a 5.3% chance of making the playoffs and as likely to end up in the bottom half as the top. Thankfully just a 0.3% chance of relegation. This is modelled based on remaining fixtures and shows we have tough fixtures remaining.View attachment 71856
I mean.. Sunderland missing out is some comfort at least. This image below shows the rest of the season simulated by someone. I think....Carrick has to start picking the 11 most of the fans would pick. And we need a couple more back from injury like Lath, Coburn. Thomas needs to start for a game after Engel has had another stutter.... realistically end the play off challenge?
