Nope. I was at the away leg of the promotion playoff with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We won at Ayresome 2 nil and lost at their place 1 nil to get promoted. Palisters last game if I recall correctly. That was one of the BORO games I remember.

Must have been a season I switched off for.
 
The transformation is incredible. Before this season he had scored 8 goals in 106 English league games stretching across 10 years and including a 10/0 record in League One. This season he has 12 in 17.
 
Amazing change around in stats. At best he was a one in four scorer but his all round game and goal scoring this season is astonishing. Don’t think anyone could have seen this coming at this stage of his career.
 
I wouldn’t sell him for £15m now, let alone in the summer if he’s 20plus, which he will.

It is not just his goals he is playing brilliantly. Control, vision, passing, movement. He looks like he came through the Arsenal academy as the hot prospect he was.
Him and Gyokeres together for us would take us up and keep us up.

That was a fabulous performance from Akpom today, top drawer.

Another season with us, in D1 before Pally fell out with Sir Bruce and went to Man Utd for £2.3m and had an absolute mare on his debut.

Agreed - he was our best playmaker in the first half especially. He could have easily had more goals as well.

Even if you 'switched off' for the 89/90 season, it's odd that you've never read about, heard reference to, or seen video clips of that match in the 32 yrs since.

Also, I'm not sure what relevance the Chelsea games 2 years previously have.

You sure about that Cullen? I remember the speculation before the game and at the final whistle he threw his boots into the crowd and we all thought that was it, he was off.

Bamford, Stuani we do have form for it.

Akpom isn't 6 foot 4 so Pulis (for one) would probably be happy to drive him to his next club himself.
