If chuba stays

I can't see him staying. He will want a big contract, championship player of the year and top scorer would generally command one.
Think a parachute payment club, or a Lower Prem team will bid 14-18 mil and we will cash in, cant risk him walking away in 12 months for nothing.

He would be able to get a 4yr 40k + deal elsewhere id imagine and this could be his last chance for a BIG BIG contract. I'd say our absolute top whack would be about 25k.
Only paid £2.7m for him so it's that value v keeping him and having a good crack at the automatics.

He's supposed to be on £27k week - our top earner so just short of £1.5m year......still a decent wedge.

Since leaving Arsenal he's been nomadic, scoring a few goals a season......but he's found a home here, enjoying his football and has great respect for Carrick. Might mean something??

Or he's off to Palace for £70k week........😁😁

Chuba deserves a crack at the PL and the big money that goes with it.
Ive loved watching him this season - best we've had since Bamford - and was even more productive than him.

Best we’ve had in a long time. Far better than Bamford was and he was good

We should definitely have got Gyokeres last summer.
Gyokeres and Akpom flanked by Ramsey and Forss is perfect. Archer as support/ competition completes front options.
I’d see if Celtic still want McGree.
Yeah, should have been priority 1, maybe he was and maybe we wimped out but cov would have sold for £15m.

I think if we had got Gyokeres we wouldn't have been able to get some of those you mention, as we would have needed the cash, but shouldn't have spent money on Hoppe. God knows what they were thinking with that one.

I honestly cant see anyone paying 14 to 18m for a player with one good season. Its a massive risk. I think carrick will persuade him to have one more season in the championship
