That was me not paying attention, they dropped out on Wednesday and not today as I incorrectly insinuated. They have 2 draws as the first 2 games on their run of 10 so if they win the next 2 then they'd go up to 2ppg form in the last 10

This is an interesting one. Based on this we should win all 5 home games, even Fulham, and lose to Bournemouth, Swansea and Preston. That would give us 18 points from the last 9, finishing on 77pts.

Pretty much as you were following yesterday's games apart from Forest and Luton swapping places with Forest projected to finish 3rd. Points needed to finish 6th drops from 74 to 73.

A win on Wednesday would put our PPG up tp 1.9 from 1.7, defeat would drop it to 1.6.

QPR and Blackburn in the bottom 4 for form currently and QPR have got Sheff United on Tuesday. The next couple of games could see teams dropping out of contention (Coventry, QPR and possibly Millwall). West Brom having a little bit of resurgence and a win today could see them give themselves a very long shot at being considered 'in the mix' however they've left themselves too much to do to really challenge.

I'd be happy if the table finishes like that. In fact I think realistically thats the best possible outcome. Sheff Utd are the team I fear most. We've got the beating of those other 3 clubs in the playoff places. Without Spence we battered Forest at The Riverside. They were'nt in the game. I would fancy us against either luton or huddersfield on the big stage at wembley.

Updated after last night's matches. No change in playoff or relegation spots however Sheff United winning puts them right back in the mix after the PPG had dropped a little recently, now currently on the same PPG as us. Millwall and Blackburn falling off the pace a little and QPR falling like a stone. Swansea in good form but left a playoff charge a bit late

Agreed. I'm afraid I'm one of the rare breed of negative Boro fans. Most people on here seem confident that we'll make the play-offs. I'm the opposite. I think we're going to miss out. Hence I'd happily take 6th!

I think Huddersfield. They're still in decent form and have been up there for ages but every time I've seen them I'm just not convinced, it was the same with Millwall when they went on their run, even though they were picking up results they just didn't look convincing

TBF - I was talking to a Huddersfield mate yesterday, and he thinks they're going to miss out. He was predicting a Forest v Boro play off final!

Yeah, fairly kind run in but can they turn around the mentality and confidence after 2 wins in 10 games? Brereton-Diaz coming back ti fitness could be key for them
