If you booed Connolly

brainless, and I just

exactly this, it's not just the pointless booing, it's the effect it has on the other players, one of their mates. we're supposed to all be in this together. it's pathetic.

the one thing I will say though, is from the East, it sounded like there was some booing but there was a lot of clapping as he came on afterwards as well.
There was clapping.. but the booing was significant. Much greater than the clapping, as a player coming onto the pitch you might not even think that the claps were for you.

I shouted in support of him.. so at least he knows newy loves him!

I am not a fan of Connolly, but i have never been more embarrassed by our fans. An absolute disgrace. Can you imagine the scene we make the play offs and have injuries to Coburn and Watmore. Where would we be apart from up the kyber without a paddle. If you booed, I hate you with my very core you disgusting parasite.
Oh, if you did, and could email Rob, I would pay good money to tell you worse to your face.

i have NEVER booed an individual player ... even Mido or Yak in there not trying games ... at the end of the match I feel showing your feelings to the TEAM is fine ... re Mogga Barnsley ... I would never Boo a player about to come on .... do you really think he is going to be motivated and give 100%

Opinions on here after the match is part and parcel of the game as is discussions during the game but booing before he comes on and during is really not my cup of tea and wouldnt do it ....

Must admit a couple of years back when Assombalonga was walking off the pitch at the end of the game , after having another 4 out of 10 performance I shouted "f**k off you useless pile of shoite ".
He gave me that same grin he used to have on his face when he missed a sitter or pen .
Never booed him coming on the pitch though .

Adolescent herd mentality.
Goes with the homophobic, racist and other abusive chants.
Why pay for a ticket to behave like a twit?(n)
There is a section in the South Stand towards the SW corner who regularly boo when the opposition take the the knee and over recent years booed a few of our players most notably Downing plus Howson after he had only played a handful of games, unfortunately it is part of the 'Look at me'generation we have nowadays.

A Confidence player who has been really struggling to get his career back in an even keel. He’s come to boro wanting to the best he can, everyone he goes onto that pitch he puts a shift it! I’ve said before you don’t score premier league goals by accident. He’s 22 years old and already said that the stuff that Brighton fans were saying about him had really effected him. Trolls slagging him off on instagram are a disgrace. I made sure I cheered him on today, he’s had a few little pieces of magic that if they had come if would have been jaw dropping!

Absolutely gutted for the lad today, the game finished and he was in a tigger state.. tore his shirt of and bolted down the tunnel. Visibly upset. Now a team just after winning 2-0 at home, keeping the playoff dream alive should be going on that dressing room and saying we can do this lads!!

Instead you have to console a teammate about being booed onto the pitch.. a 22 year old lad. Gutted.

Not sure how any of our players felt about a large section of fans booing taking the knee either. Talk about motivation!

On what should be an exciting build up to an end of season finale full of twists and turns and drama..

I’m left deflated and a bit ashamed of our fans. Disappointing eh
I'm pretty sure there was nowhere near a large section of fans booing taking the knee tonight, all I could hear was applause from the east stand. And there wasn't enough applause to drown out a substantial amount of booing. I don't ever recall a large section of our fans booing taking the knee at any stage.

after the match is fair game

Most of the people in block 64 towards the back nxt SW corner arent season card holders. Thats the section for casual ticket buyers. My SC is in that block - and the back always fills up for big games. Its a mix of Dads and kids who dont mind standing. When we played the likes of Preston, Reading and Blackburn - which werent well attended, there were big empty spaces and hardly a boo or abusive comment. Unfortunately there`s always someone. They wouldnt do it to the players faces. (n)
