If you don't live on Teesside, who is your local team and do you go and watch them?

If counting nearest clubs to where you've ever lived, mine would be: Whitby (rarely went), Sheffield United (went a few times). Sunderland (never went), Gateshead (never went), Durham City (never went), Consett (never went), Spennymoor (never went) and now Real JaΓ©n.

All the time before coming to Spain it was Boro and only Boro.

Am I the only poster on the board with a TS postcode living in Middlesbrough ?

Edit - Erimus and Rob obvs but I think that's it....3 of us and all celebrities πŸ‘πŸ“–βœοΈ

Borofur if you're reading this Stockton doesn't count btw 🀣

Mickleover FC - First went a couple of years ago to "savour" the atmosphere vs FC United and then popped along whenever a proper local team like Whitby or Darlo turned up. Looking forward to supporting Marske this year and then the authorities only went and shifted them into a useless league covering a very uninteresting geography. Probably wont bother this year.

Clue is in the title of the thread Nobby lad, now go away and leave us ex pats to it

Swindon town , bristol city, yeovil within reach by car chippenham if go into non league. No dont watch them but if boro visit i try to go if possible.

I'm a 10 minute walk from Bramall Lane currently but don't like them and rarely go. Went to a friendly a couple of years back when they played Inter (wanted to see Icardi score and he duly obliged). Left at half time as it was kicking off in the concourse.

My "local" team are Sheffield FC, love the history and would love to see them move up the leagues, although it looks unlikely at present. Cracking boozer next door to the ground as well. If they move back into the city, as planned, I'll probably get a season ticket.

I've previously lived a 10 min walk from St James Park but never went and when in London Millwall were the nearest team (Curtis Main scoring belters) :)

Brentford, No chance of getting a ticket at the moment. Still travel back for the home games and do plenty away, so don't really have much chance to visit other games, not involving Boro. This situation will probably change next season though

Stockport County, see them a handful of times each season. Also watched my old team, West Didsbury, a couple of times too this season. Mainly groundhop to watch North East non-league teams around Greater Manchester & Cheshire. Plan to watch Marske next season when in the area.
